Better alignment of knowledge management theories (models) with knowledge
management concepts to address the disconnect between the two
Learners were asked to list their expectations at the beginning of the workshop. Listed
below were the expectations they outlined;

Although some were not happy with the fact that they were instructed the day before to
attend the workshop with no particular knowledge why were they “targeted” to attend a
workshop that they did not ask for ended up being very happy with the outcome (See
Evaluation Forms)

HoDs and SLs need to cascade information to staff
Follow up training on Skills Audit
New policies that address Knowledge Management need to be developed
Extend course to 6 days so that we can get accredited Certificates of Competency
not Certificates of Attendance
Learner felt that the course should be extended and offered as an Accredited Skills
Programme
Extend the workshop to all staff at management level
The course should be a continuous process that targets all staff
The venue was not “fit for purpose”. It was theatre style and made writing and practical
activities very difficult.
