Study Plan for Master Studies in China

In today’s world, the advancement in technology has reached to the level where each and every
device works and communicate intelligently with other devices. This advancement can rightly be
attributed to the contribution of researchers in development and modification of electrical
communication systems for scientific, commercial, industrial, medical and military use. Inspired
from their innovations, I also want to contribute towards research achievements in the field of
Electronics and Information Engineering (Electromagnetic Field and Microwave Technology). The
Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU) has great achievements and contributions in the
field of Electronics and Information Engineering, a well-known, high ranked and prestigious
university in China. So I am looking for an excellent research opportunity in NPU China in order to
pursue my Master studies in Electronics and Information Engineering from China.

Achievements and Awards:

My interest in Science and Engineering field led me to do Bachelor degree in Telecommunication
Engineering with a CGPA of 3.4 out of 4 recently, from University of Engineering and Technology
(U.E.T) Peshawar Pakistan, a well-known and prestigious engineering university in Pakistan. The
bachelor’s academic syllabus content of my university has broadened my knowledge in core areas
of Telecommunication. During my bachelors, I was awarded with a laptop as a reward which was
presented to me by Pakistan government under Prime Minister Youth laptop scheme for securing
above 3CGPA in undergraduate program. I was also awarded with Internet of Things certificate from
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board (KPITB), Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
These awards show my excellence and good performance in academic field. Apart from academics,
I also contributed in extra-curricular activities and worked for 1 year as IT member in Academic
Society of U.E.T Mardan which is the official student society of my university for organizing and
managing academic programs (short courses, Seminars, Speed Programming competitions etc.). I
was the captain of our University official Basketball team and i was also a part of our University
Cricket team and we have won many tournaments during our graduation career. I was the head of
Urdu Poetry society which is the official student society of my university for organizing different
poetry events in the University. After my graduation, I joined Pakistan Telecommunication
Company Limited (PTCL) as Trainee Engineer for six (6) Weeks which provides telephonic and
internet services nationwide in Pakistan. In PTCL, I acquired skills in Optical fiber communication
system and was introduced with different types of optical fiber communication equipments. I also
attended one week soft skills training program arrange by a private organization based on
Communication, Management and Leadership skills.
Research Background:
The advanced world we see today would not have been possible without the great contribution
of eminent researchers. Although they have several significant contributions, still there is a lot of
scope for potential researchers in every field. With the passion to contribute in research area of
Telecommunication, my Bachelor degree thesis focus on “Design of Wide-band and Multi-band
Wearable Antennas For Wireless Applications” In this final year project, first of all literature
review related to my project were studied for different wearable antennas. As for wearable
antenna it is necessary to have a flexible substrate so i searched and studied about different
flexible substrate materials and come up with the result to use Fleece fabrics as a substrate
material because it is easy available and having cheap property. For achieving high bandwidth, the
ground plane should be partial or there should be slots in the ground. I also studied about specific
absorption rate (SAR) in details because my designed antennas are wearable and it is important to
test it on human body. SAR is basically the rate at which RF electromagnetic energy is imparted to
unit mass of the biological body. During my undergraduate study, I worked on human body
phantoms designing. Instead of a real human body tissues, numerical models or tissue-equivalent
experimental phantoms are usually used before fabrication in order to check the performance of
the antenna.

My Personality:
By fact, I am socially active person with friendly nature, a good communicator indeed who is blessed
with many friends. I am a humble person with flexible nature. Flexibility is life and rigidness is death.
I keep a keen view to the reality of life thus approach people with positive mind and attitude and
always prove to be helpful with honest efforts and true dedication. Besides that I always feel very
joyous and fortunate to meet and greet people belonging to different backgrounds and cultures. As
such meetings are always important because they prove to be beneficial in future also it makes
things easy to cope whether one works or studies in his own country or outside the country. The
most beautiful thing about me is that i am always ready to accept good changes in me. And i also
believe that the environment and people around a person bring changes in his personality. So i want
to come to China and in Chinese Universities, Professors and students from all around the globe will
change me to a better person than i am today.

Study Plan in China:

I want to apply for Master’s Studies in china to continue my exploration and understanding about
current technologies in the field of Electronics and Information Engineering and also planning to
contribute towards research achievements in the field of Electronics and Information Engineering.
I am personally interested and want to work in research areas such as Design and SAR Analysis of
Wearable Antennas, Multiband, Wideband, UWB and Super UWB Antennas, Design and Analysis
of Patch Antennas at Different Frequencies, Antenna Measurements Techniques, EM wave
propagation, Wireless Communications and Signal Processing. After graduation I want to
continue my work in industrial and scientific research. I also want to contribute in culture
exchanges between the people of china and my own country Pakistan.
Reasons to study in China:
Now the question arises, “Why China?” Reading the books, watching the news, analyzing and
observing the people of China, I really impressed by the way these individuals have proved
themselves to be dedicated to their work with true and sincere efforts they have set China as a
successful example for other third world or developed countries. The fast growing economy,
technological advancement and the global ranking education institutes of China with high
reputation makes a great aspiration to the students and professionals for the better career
perspectives.
For me, China is like my second homeland because of its long lasting relationship with Pakistan.
China and Pakistan are not only neighboring countries but are also ‘irreplaceable’, ‘all-weather’
and ‘time-tested’ friends. The hardworking nature of people of China and its rapid advancement in
technology raised my interest to obtain my higher studies from China higher ranked University
to improve my skills and to promote the culture exchange among the people of both countries.
I firmly believe that the experienced faculty, best research environment and advance Electronics
and Information equipment of NPU will improve my skills, ideas and analytical ability. I look
forward for an opportunity to show my potential and would be grateful if I get the opportunity to
study at your university with financial assistance.
