5.0 CONSTRUCTION SEQUENCE OF WORK

5.1 Marking the Location to be installed

 Marking will be done to identify the location by using steel tape and twine. It will be 3m off to the
structural element and by 2m-3m C/C along with the parallel to Structure element.

5.2 Placing the hooks

 Placing the hooks will be done by bar-benders while the continuing of slab reinforcement work.
 It will be bound with the bottom reinforcement of the slab.

5.3 Pouring the Concrete

 Pouring of slab concrete will be done according to the approved method statement and specification.
 Before applying any force to anchoring hooks, the slab should be cured at least 3day as per the method
of slab curing.

5.4 Chip off the concrete around the hooks

 After usage of the anchoring hooks for the formwork tightening purpose of the relevant structural
element, it can be removed from the slab.
 Chip Off the concrete around the hooks up to 20-25mm depth & 75-100 mm diameter from hook
vertical bars.
 Flat/Point chisel and ball hammer will be used to do this rectification work.

5.5 Cutting and removing the hooks

 Exposed bars will be cut by using 7” angle grinder or 4” Grinder.
 Close supervision will be done to not disturb the hardened concrete while cutting.

5.6 Cleaning of chipping surface

 Remove all the impurities/ loose concrete particles by using Hand pump/Vacuum cleaner to achieve
sound substratum.

5.7 Treatment application

 As per the TDS of non-shrinkage grout (Master flow 810), recommended water will be collected to
bucket & mixing will be done until receiving a self flowable slurry.
 Emaco 157 D primer will be used before pouring of grout to receive a good bonding.
 While continuing the pouring of grout, steel rod will be used to tamp to have proper filing. Grout is
working as a self-levelling grout, but to get more compaction additional tamping will be applied.
 The top surface of the filling will be kept to some time for drying & while at the troweling stage
using mason trowel top surface will be finish with the slab top level.

5.8 Curing of the treated area

 Treated surfaces to be applied with MasterKure 128 just after the hardening of them.
 Treated area will be covered with polythene or gunny bags for 3 days until to receive curing effect.

6.0 QUALITY CONTROL AND QUALITY ASSURANCE METHODOLOGY

 QA/QC team to closely supervise the rectification & post inspection as well as to receive proper
completion.

7.0 SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

 Everyone involved in the rectification will be advised to observe the safety precautions.
 Workmen shall wear all appropriate safety personnel protective equipment such as helmet,
coverall clothing (High visible Jacket), and safety boots, goggles and gloves, wherever required
while they are within the site premises/ working location.
 A first aid box with the necessary medication will be placed at the site first aid room in case of an
emergency.
 Adequate safe access to the working area shall be provided.
 Sufficient light shall be ensured before the start of the work
 Necessary skilled personals to be used for the cutting & chipping of the area to be treated.

8.0 ENVIRONMENTAL CONSIDERATIONS

 Generally, should care about the chemical compounds not to be mixed with the water sources/ sea
directly.
