“THE PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE”

Theme: “Hinubog ng panahon ang bawat gunita ng nakaraan. Na pumapatigbabaw sa

kasalukuyang panahon”

Our life is bounded by time. Since the time we born, we live, and then we die. Time

is always there. Time has past, present, and future, in which, dictates our own fate and

destiny. Past has a significant effect in present, and present has significant effect in the

future. In other words, what makes our present now, is the past events in the history. Also,

what we do in the present now, it will similarly reflect to the future. That’s why, make things

good in present, so that you will have a better future.

In my past, I was a child who is not even worth to live because of my own

greediness and my bad attitudes towards my parents and other people. Back then, I was

thinking of my future. I told myself, “what would be my future looks like?”, of course I do

not any idea what would be my future looks like. While time goes by, I was involved in

bad activities, not just in the addiction of playing online gaming, but also in smoking,

drinking alcohol, gang groups, and even illegal drugs. Fortunately, God is really good, I

did not put my life in danger. Actually, I was just ignorant on those things, that’s why I

tried them. Sadly, because of this unfortunate happening in my life, I did not get high

grades in my elementary days. I did not even make my parents proud. But everything has

changed. On the time, I saw and felt my parents’ sacrifices and to get curious about

politics and history on that time. Again, I told myself, “what was happened in the past to

have our current life peaceful now”. While I was learning history of the Philippines. I

discovered that many heroes have fought in the past just to have this peaceful life right
now. I may not understand it completely, but I realized, “there must be countless sacrifices

to be made, in order to obtain peace in our country right now”. That time, I changed my

perception about life, I always do my best every day and always be productive instead of

living in darkness. I thought, if you are a bad person in the past, you will remain bad

person in the rest of your life. But I was wrong, time is very flexible. We can’t even predict

our own destiny. Past will teach us how to grow, how to be independent, and how to

become a better person. The answer to my question on my childhood times is “my future

is still undecided”. Why? Because many factors in life will shape your future, especially

the truthful reality. Reality involves everything, it may help you or it may kill you. Reality

may be defined as perception of everything in terms of time. Reality may be powerful like

time, because what you expect, plan, or perception right now, reality will change or

support it. Mathematically, expectation is just a subset of reality. Shaping the present now

is very difficult, because of the challenges that we always face every day. However, this

is great, for the reason that, we are going to become strong to withstand every problem

in the future. So, our present will really shape our future. But, because time, destiny, fate,

and reality is flexible, we must not expect that our future that we want will come true, just

accept what is the plan of God for you.

As a conclusion, whatever you do in the present now, it will tentatively reflect to

your future. Time is very powerful at all aspects of this world. That’s why do not waste

your time in doing nonsense things, instead, make your time productive and worth it.

Therefore, move rationally and make decisions wisely, so that our future will not be

destroyed.
