Classroom Expectations Commented [J1]: The rational for the classroom

expectations that positivity and betterment of the student is
my top priority. I think that through positive reinforcement
The positive expectation that I will have in my classroom are as listed, respect the a student will do way better sometimes you will need to
push them but telling them that they are doing terrible all
classroom, if someone else is talking wait for them to stop to respond, if responding to the time is not going to help them.

something you disagree some respond in a respectful way, respect yourself, help one another,

and most importantly do your best. If my students do not meet these expectations, I have a few

things I will do. I will first have a quick chat with the student about how there is expectation for

them and how it is not ok for them to not follow it. If it continues, I will have a one-on-one with

the student about why these expectations are in place like to make us better people and to

make better people around us we have to lead by example. When it comes to absences and

tardies for both I will allow for make-up work. They will just have to do it during lunch, after

school or if they are allowed too during my conference period. When I am collecting and

returning work I am doing so in a speedy and positive manner saying thank you when collecting

and good job when returning. For late and missing work, I will allow them to turn it in up until

the end of the semester but for every week it is late, I am taking a 5% until the highest grade

they can get is a C. Commented [J2]: The way I will have information provided
is two ways a parent letter how explaining why they are
signing the a syllabus and second the syllabus that both the
Routines and Procedures child and parent / guardian must sign. They will both have a
copy of the expectations to keep.
A daily routine I will be doing in the beginning of the class is that I will wait till the bell is done Commented [J3]: The rational for this was what would
make the one the positive way to greet a student everyday
because no one wants to go to a class were they feel like
ringing I will greet the students with a hello, and I am happy to see everyone today. I will then they are not wanted and second what is something simple
to follow and easy to reinforce to a student.
tell class a quick recap of what we have been doing and then what we are going to do for the

day. At the end of class I expect my students to finish up whatever we are doing be that an exit
slip or worksheet. If they are done, they should be quiet and respectful to the students around

them. They also should stay seated and clean up the area around them for the next person. For

group work the students will be using table groups. I have highchair tables that fit four students

per table. So, I will be using that for groupings in projects. Transition for work should be quick

and close by so when I do activities that require moving around, I make sure I specify what we

are doing and where everyone is moving too. For moving around the classroom, it should be

only for certain things that they don’t have to ask to do like sharpen pencils, ask for paper, or

throwaway trash. Things they have to ask to me to do, to go to the restroom, walk around the

class to talk to a friend, or to get something from another classroom. When asking for help they

only do it during activity time, if they just came back to the room, or when doing a worksheet.

They should ask three (their other tablemates) then ask me for help. If they need addition help,

they should ask me for the best time they can do it and I can work around their schedule but

after school would be the best time to do so.

A letter to your future students’ parent/guardian Commented [J4]: The rational in this want to show that I
am a very kind teacher and I want the best for your child. I
also want to show that I was very assessable to them via
Hello parent/ guardian I am Joseph Felix and I am your child’s teacher for this year. I email or even if they see me around I am there to help them
as much as I can.
have received my B.A. and my credentials in teaching from California State University of

Fullerton. What I bring into the classroom is my years of experience with children from the age

of 5 to 18 years old. I have countless knowledge of economics from coming from a working

class and Entrepreneur family background. I believe that I can help your child be better than

they were before they came into my class. I do that by laying out a clear framework of what the

class is and bring a positive attitude to the classroom as well. People are negative enough in the

world I try to give the students a positive environment and I think as long as you are trying your
best you will get far. The type of work that the students will be engaging this year in this class is

learning about demand and supply, how to start a business, and how the government works. In

supply and demand the students will learning about how demand and supply trends work and

how to calculate it. What steps go into making a business and how to pitch your idea to an

investor. Lastly, where does the tax many go and what programs does the government fund. If

you need to contact me for any reason or have any question my email

so if you ever see me come and say hello.
