Protection Relay-VMR (Digital) Product Code: PRX/02/VMR/DIN/07

Protection of 3 Phase devices against Over voltage,Under voltage,Single Phasing,

Reverse Phasing & Unbalance supply are one of the major issue in electrical systems.
For safe running of 3-phase devices, special protections that keep a continuous
watch on supply conditions are very essential. The major cause of maximum
load burn-out is overloading which occurs due to unbalance supply,
Single Phasing & Reverse Phasing conditions.
This product detects such Conditions & protect the load from burn out.

'PROTON's Protection Relay' offers above protections along with 3 digit display showing
R-Y,Y-B,B-R voltages in scanning mode with precise accuracy.

LOW/HIGH voltage tripping to ensure trouble free running of 3-phase Loads.

WORKING
- After Power ON, display shows Phase to Phase Voltages for the duration of 10 sec. each following
the messages r-y, y-b,b-r respectively in a scrolling manner.
-If the Input supply is within the range of the fault limits then On Timer starts decrementing
on display & after Set On Time over Relay will be ON with RLY indication glowing.
-If Over voltage,Under voltage, Spp/Reverse phasing/Unbalance occurs in the supply then Relay
will be OFF after the trip delay of that particular fault & corresponding fault LED starts blinking.
-Hysterisis between Cut off & cut in for Under Voltage,Over Voltage& Unbalance faults is 10V
-If any Phase to Phase Voltage reduces below UV set point,Relay will trip after set trip delay
over. If that paticular phase to phase voltage increases above ( UV set point + 10 V),
Relay will be ON after the set reset delay over.
-If any Phase to Phase Voltage increases above OV set point,Relay will trip after trip delay
(<100 ms)over. If that paticular phase to phase voltage reduces below ( OV set point - 10 V),
Relay will be ON after the set reset delay over.
- If any Phase to Phase Voltage increases/reduces above/below the UB set point compared to other
two Phase to Phase voltages,Relay will trip after set trip delay over.If that paticular phase to phase
voltage reduces/increases below/above (UB set point -/+ 10 V),Relay will be ON after the
set reset delay over.
- If any of the Phase fails,Relay will trip after trip delay (<100 ms) over. If all phases are
present,Relay will be ON after the set reset delay over.
- If Phase sequence is changed to R-B-Y/Y-R-B/B-R-Y,Relay will trip after trip delay (<100 ms)
over. If phase sequence is corrected to R-Y-B,Relay will be ON after the set reset delay over.
- As there is common indication for UB/SPP/REVP,Display will show the messages
'ub FLt','SPP FLt' & 'rP FLt' for the respective faults following the P-P Voltages in scrolling manner.
- Hold feature:- Press & release Upward Arrow key to hold the display to view particular
Phase-Phase Voltage. By pressing the Upward Arrow key UV,OV&SPP indications flash
to indicate the Display HOLD.After hold the display will hold the last displayed
Phase to Phase Voltage along with its message (r-y/y-b/b-r) alternately .
