INTRODUCTION:
“For as a young man marries a young woman, so shall your sons marry you, and as the bridegroom
rejoices over the bride, so shall your God rejoice over you”. Isaiah 62:5
Dear friends, we are gathered here today to witness and become part of this momentous event in
the life of Kit and Ciara. We have come to celebrate with them the beginning of their new life
together as husband and wife.
And as they profess their vows of commitment to love and to care for each other from this day
onward, let us also pray with them, that their union in love will be blessed with constant fidelity,
countless forgiveness, and enduring care for each other, for as long as they live.
We likewise pray that they may be blessed with a happy and healthy Christian family whose
presence in the community may become a living proclamation of God’s love, fidelity and peace.
With our presider Monsignor. Benjamin Torreto, DCC let us now all rise for our entrance song.
Opening Song: Glory and Praise
Glory and praise to our God In His wisdom He strengthens us
Who alone gives light to our days Like gold that's tested in fire
Many are the blessings He bears Though the power of sin prevails
To those who trust in His ways Our God is there to save
We the daughters and sons of Him Every moment of every day
Who built the valleys and plains Our God is waiting to save
Praise the wonders our God has done Always ready to seek the lost
In every heart that sings To answer those who pray
GREETINGS
Presider : We are gathered here in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the
Holy Spirit.
All : Amen.
Presider : As we prepare to celebrate this Eucharist, let us call to mind our sins and
failures in loving God and others, and ask God to fill us with His love and
goodness.
All : I confess to Almighty God, and to you my brothers and sisters, that I have
greatly sinned, in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done, and what
I have failed to do, through my fault; through my fault; through my most
grievous fault.
Therefore, I ask the Blessed Mary ever Virgin, all the angels and saints, and
you my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our God.
Presider : Have mercy on us, Lord, for not responding to Your love. Pardon our sins and
bring us to eternal life.
All : Amen.
OPENING PRAYER:
Presider : Father, You have made the bond of marriage a Holy Mystery, a symbol of
Christ’s love for His Church. Hear our prayers for Kit and Ciara. With faith in
You and in each other, they pledge their love today. May your blessings and
great love for us strengthen their love for each other, and may their lives bear
witness to the reality of that love. This we ask through Christ our Lord.
All : Amen.
birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and
whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. 20 So the man gave
names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.
But for Adam[a] no suitable helper was found. 21 So the LORD God caused the man to
fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs[b] and
then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the
rib[c] he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
23 The man said, “This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be
called ‘woman,’ for she was taken out of man.”
24 That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is united to his wife, and they
become one flesh.
The word of the Lord.
All : Thanks be to God.
Responsorial Psalm – PSALM 92
Antiphon
Lord, it is good to give You thanks.
Lord, it is good to give You thanks.
1. It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to make music to your name,
To proclaim your love in the morning, and your truth throughout the night. (Ant.)
2. The just shall flourish like a palm tree. And grow like a Lebanon cedar planted in
the house of the Lord. They will flourish in God’s courts. (Ant.)
3. They shall bear fruit when they are old. Still full of sap, still green. To proclaim that
the Lord’s love is steadfast. In God, my rock is no wrong. (Ant.)
Finale It is good to give you thanks.
Be ambitious for the higher gifts. And I am going to show you a way that is better than
any of them. If I have all the eloquence of men or of angels, but speak without love, I am
simply a gong booming or a cymbal clashing. If I have the gift of prophesy, understanding
all the mysteries there are, and knowing everything, and if I have faith in all its fullness, to
move mountains, but without love, then I am nothing at all. If I give away all that I
possess, piece by piece, and if I even let them take my body to burn it, but I am without
love, it will do me no good whatever. Love is always patient and kind; it is never
jealous; love is never boastful or conceited; it is never rude or selfish; it does not take
offence, and is not resentful. Love takes no pleasure in other people's sins but delights
in the truth; it is always ready to excuse, to trust, to hope, and to endure whatever
comes. Love does not come to an end.
The word of the Lord.
All : Thanks be to God.
Presider : Kit do you take Ciara here present to be your lawful wife according to the rite
of our Holy Mother, the Church?
Kit & Ciara : Grant us O Lord to be one in heart and soul, from this day forward, for better
or for worse; for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do us
part.
Presider : Kit and Ciara, you have declared your consent before God and his Church.
May the Lord, in His goodness, strengthen your consent and fill you both with
his blessings so that you may remain faithful in love to each other. And I by
the authority of the church calling all present here as witnesses, confirm and
bless the bond of marriage which you have contracted. In the name of the
Father, and of the Son and the Holy Spirit.
All : Amen
Presider : Lord, bless these rings which we bless in your name. Grant that those who
wear these rings always keep strong their faith in each other.
May Kit and Ciara abide in peace and continue to please you always. Grant
this through Christ our Lord.
All : Amen.
Presider : Bless, O Lord, Kit and Ciara with sufficiency of material blessings which these
arrhae symbolize, so they can use them to attain eternal life through Christ our
Lord.
All : Amen.
EXCHANGE OF RINGS AND GIVING OF ARRHAE
Bride : Kit, wear this ring, as a sign of my pledge to you, as your wife and best
friend, my endless love and fidelity. In the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Groom : Ciara, I give you these arrhae, as a sign of my never-ending dedication to your
welfare, and that of our children. In the name of the Father, and of the Son,
and of the Holy Spirit.
Bride : I accept them with joy and gratitude as a pledge and symbol of my
responsibility in raising a family with you. In the name of the Father and of the
Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

your mercy receive the prayers of your servants through Christ our Lord.
All : Amen.

All : Amen.
Presider : Behold the Lamb of God, behold Him who takes away the sins of the world.
Blessed are those called to the supper of the lamb.
All : Lord, I am not worthy that you should enter under my roof, but only say the
word and my soul shall be healed.
Presider : May the Body and Blood of Christ bring us to everlasting life.
All : Amen.
Commentator : (Cord and veil sponsors may now remove the cord and veil
Communion Songs:
PAGKAKAIBIGAN
Ang sino man sa Aki'y mananahan Mula ngayon kayo'y Aking kaibigan
Mananahan din Ako sa kanya. Hinango sa dilim at kababaan.
At kung siya'y mamunga nang masagana, Ang kaibiga'y mag-aalay ng sarili niyang buhay;
Sa pag-ibig Ko, kayo sana ay manahan, Ang kaibiga'y mag-aalay ng sarili niyang buhay;
At bilin Ko sa inyo ay magmahalan. Walang hihigit sa yaring pag-aalay.
