strength test as per the approved ITP and work procedure.

Activity description :

Inspection visits were made as per the notification ( AQ-NOI-009 Rev-00/ & AQ-NOI-009 Rev-01Rev-01) at Al
Qahtani Pipe Coating Industries Site 1 to carry out the in-process and final Inspection of the spool fittings of
diameter 04” for Cement Lining as per client requirements for the PO: 1278528.

The entire detail of each inspection activity is listed as mentioned:

Visual Inspection:
Visual Inspection of Raw Fittings has been randomly monitored at vendor shop and found free from the
damages. Found Satisfactory.

Document Check:
Test reports for Sand, Cement & water have been reviewed and found satisfactory. Copies of the same along
with the set of concerning documents shall be provided by the vendor after final Inspection.
 Cement was confirming the requirement ASTM C150 Type V as per the Test certificate of Cement and
Mortar, Chloride content was less than the 0.15% and found it acceptable.
 As per the test report of the Sand, Values of Acid Soluble Chloride & Acid Soluble Sulphate were
acceptable as per the approved Vendor Procedure.
 Water was Potable and contains the TDS value less than 500 ppm and found acceptable as per the test
report for chemical analysis of water.
 Storage of cement & sand was in dry condition which was acceptable.

Dimensional Inspection:
Randomly monitored the dimensional Check and found satisfactory as per the material description.

Surface Inspection:
Witnessed the surface preparation to Grade ST2 to be lined was free of contamination and found satisfactory.

Surface temperature:
Witnessed Surface temperature of the item and found less than 90° F. This was acceptable as per the work
procedure.

Mixing Ratio in the mixing Equipment:

Monitored the mixing Ratio of cement, Sand & water as per the ITP and found it acceptable.

Lining Thickness:
Witnessed the Lining thickness with depth gauge within 23 inches from the end at 3, 6, 9 & 12 O Clock
Positions in each sides of the presented spool fittings.

Visual Inspection of the Applied Cement:

Visual Inspection has been performed and found lined surface was smooth, uniform with even surface finish
which was found satisfactory.

Lining Temperature:
Lining Temperature for three hours after application was monitored and found less than 90° F as per the
approved work procedure.

Capping & Curing:

Monitored the lining were sealed within 30 minutes after CML application and after 24 hours water was
injected into the lined fittings through end caps.

Result of this Point: As per the ITP stage wise Inspection was satisfactory and final acceptance of the CML
shall be based on the satisfactory result of the Compressive strength test of the samples at 4500 psi after 28
days as per the approved ITP and work procedure.

CONCLUSION:
Inspection of the spool fittings of diameter 04” for Cement Mortar Lining was carried out in accordance with
the approved ITP no ITP-CML-SFBV-SA-SAIPEM Rev-00 and work procedure (AQPCI-WP-363 Rev 08) and found
satisfactory results. Although, Final Acceptance of the CML shall be based on Successful acceptance of
Compression test results as well as the Final Visual Inspection of the CML surface.
