REQUIRED FORMAT FOR SEMINAR REPORT (BTECH CSE- VII SEM)

Seminar Report:

Each student is required to write a ​comprehensive report about his/her seminar/research topic.
The report must consist of ​minimum 15 to 20 ​pages describing the topic selected with its
significance and applications. The report should be spiral bind & in the format as described
below. It is important that you must adhere to these guidelines:

1. ARRANGEMENT OF CONTENTS:
The sequence in which the Seminar report material should be arranged and spiral bound
should be as follows:

a. Cover Page & Title Page


b. Table of Contents
c. Abstract (​​Max. One page​)
d. Acknowledgement
e. Detailed Description about your Seminar Topic e.g. (1. Introduction, 2.
Literature Review 3. Procedure & Methods, 4. Conclusion (in your own
words) 5. Results 6. References etc.)

2. Page Dimension and binding specifications:


The dimension of the seminar report should be in A4 Size. The report should be spiral bind.

3. Typing Instructions:
​One and a half spacing (1.5)​ should be used for typing the general text, in ​Times New
Roman,​ with ​font size 12​. Heading ​font size is ​16 Bold​ & subheading font size is ​14 bold​.

3.1. ​Abstract:​​ Abstract should be ​strictly one page​​, it should summarize the aims,
conclusions and implications of the topic of your seminar.

3.2. Table of Contents:​​ For generating Table of Contents, use MS Word tool available in
references tab of MS word.
a. Description about Seminar:​​ This can be divided into ​SIX parts​ as:

(1. Introduction, 2. Literature Review 3. Procedure & Methods, 4. Conclusion


(in your own words) 5. Results 6. References etc.)

Where, ​Introduction ​contains the ​main theme of the topic, ​Literature Review,
contains the background & importance of Technology about the selected topic etc.

3.3. References: ​Use insert citation tab for creating references from MS ​Word tool​​, in the
references tab(open word, go to references tab)

Note: References should be according to IEEE standard (Follow Research articles


CSI or journals.)
