Activity Purpose:
Activity Purpose:
Here, the students listen to the two versions of the song. So, they
became familiar with the song twice. Since the first video was old, they
could be bore. So, I chose a more fun video with lyrics appearing in the
second video. The students would be sad in the first video, but in the
second video they would have a fun feeling. This makes it easier to
follow the questions in the given worksheets. If the students want to
listen to the last video again, I can open the video again. In this activity,
students will notice the use of past tense for grammar in a context, and
answer the questions given in the task-4 with the students and make
them talk.
In the follow-up activity, the teacher tells the students that
Nancy has a letter to Cher and asks if you are wondering. And
she distributes Nancy's letter to Cher to the students.
Follow-up
She said to the students: "There are some gaps in Nancy's letter
Activity
and you have to shoot these blanks according to simple past
(10-15 Minutes) tense."
As the students fill in the blanks, the teacher walks around the

classroom. If students have questions, she will help them.
After completing the worksheet, the students answer the
questions with the teacher.

Homework Purpose:

write letters using the simple past tense so that the assignment is also in
context. They will both make a permanent memory by remembering
their past memories and practice the simple past tense.
