1.4 NOTES ON REPLACING PARTS

% Be careful in handling ICs. Some ICs such as MOS type are so fragile that they can be damaged by electrostatic induction.

% Please be careful of not to apply static charge onto integrated circuits, etc, when you conduct repair work. A
Especially, please use soldering iron with its tip grounded.
Also, please use a pair of tweezers with static charge protection capability if there is the possibility of contacting to device
terminals, and avoid the use of metal-made tweezers.

% The part listed below is difficult to replace as a discrete component part.

When the part listed in the table is defective, replace whole Assy.

% Notes about installation and pin number description of Power IC (IC1301: TCB501HQ)
The Power IC, TCB501HQ used on the Tuner Amp Unit is a 25 pin IC.
The same PCB of the Tuner Amp Unit is used for other models that use a 27 pin IC, too.
So, the PCB has lands for a 27 pin IC.
When you replace the Power IC, install the Power IC onto 25 pins (2- 26 pin) located in the center of 27 pins for IC1301.

Therefore, when you check the Power IC on the schematic diagram and the PCB connection diagram, you have to pay
attention as follows.

5.6 TROUBLE SHOOTING (PARKING SENSOR : ND-PS1/XEEL5)

ND-PS1 is required to connect compatible main unit(SPH-10BT, -C10BT and -C19BT) to check the operation. A

· Activate the P. SENSOR function on the Main Unit.

· Apply reverse signal to the Main unit.
· Supply Power voltage to the Control Box.

The object for operation check should be hard board (100cm X 100cm) that made of PVC or cardboard.
The object that absorb waves (e.g. cotton) or penetrate waves into (e.g. transparent plastic bag) are not reccomended for test.
Please refer to the "TEST BEFORE INSTALLATION" of ND-PS1 Installation Manual.

The illumination color and sound are changed depends on the detected distance of the sensor.

Distance to the object Color Sound

B
More than 160 cm Green None
160 cm to 90 cm Yellow Beep (Slow)
90 cm to 40 cm Orange Beep (Fast)
Less than 40 cm Red Beep (Continuous)
Distance may vary depends on the object material.
Lower left illumination color of face plate indicated the shortest distance of sensor A or B.
Lower right illumination color of face plate indicated the shortest distance of sensor C or D.
Above chart is based on SPH-10BT, -C10BT and -C19BT.

Note : Each sensor is adjusted with the control box on the production line.
So please exchange the control box and 4 sensors as a set and do NOT replace them separately.
