Which varies from the conventional general hospital
It continuation of the trend in health care facility,it provides
Service to the category needing advance care in clinical,diagnostic
and nursing sector
So architecture being a major link in the growth chain , has
Changed accordingly

Hospital will comprise of:

Hospital will have better space planning ,circulation,infection
Control and healing environment.
Better service to avoid contamination
By understanding patients psychological needs providing home
Like environment , fresh air ,daylight ,views will help reduce recovery time of
patients
Access to healing powers of nature
Separate all departments yet keep them close
Elimination of long corridors
Segregation of public traffic – casualty,OPD,IPD,paytients,
Visitors,doctors and staffs
Residential apartments for doctors and staffs
Seminar hall and exhibition centers for seminars
Aim & Objective:

1) To study the planning and organisation of a health center

2) To suggest location,infrastructure,layout of various departments and

services in a health care center

3) To study the potential of a therapeutic environment

Scope of Study:
To Promote staff efficiency by minimi!ing distance of necessary travel
between the frequently used space
To Include all needed spaces, but no redundant ones this requires careful
pre&design programming
To group or combine functional areas with similar requirements
Provide optimal functional adjacencies
Limitations of the study:
 Detailed working drawings will not be produced
 No mechanical, electrical and plumbing details will be produced.

The site selected for the construction of the multispeciality hospital

a new proposal is made for a multispeciality

Justification:
Even though Ooty is the headquarters of the Nilgiris, a division bench of
the Madras HC has noted that there are no proper medical facilities, due
to which many lives are lost. People are forced to go to Coimbatore,
which takes about three hours
Geetha Srinivasan ,social activist says , The nilgiris has become an abode
for senior citizens .Most of the retired people are settling down in
hills.They find it very difficult when it comes to health care .Hence the
need of the hour is a super speciality hospital in ooty

Introduction:

ITC Hotels is India's third largest hotel chain with over 100
hotels.[1] It is based in the Hotels Division Headquarters

ITC Ltd's Chief Operating Officer Sanjiv Puri said the hotel is
being constructed in an area of around 6 lakh sq ft, and
claimed it to be the largest and most premium hotel in the
state with 300 rooms.

"ITC already operates eight hotels in Gujarat under our

brand names of WelcomeHotels, WelcomeHeritage and
Fortune. This will be our 9th hotel, built over 6 lakh sq feet
with an investment of Rs 600 crore. This will be the largest
and most premium hotel in Gujarat upon completion," said
