Latest and modern technology based Donnely Chute Level Measurement through
Capacitive type sensor and solid state digital indication system specialy design for
measurement and display of Donnely Chute level . Capacitive Type Sensors shall be
Mounted on side of Mill Donnely Chute and Digital indicators are designed for Panel
mounting in industry enviornment . The digital indicator indicate the instantaneous value
of Mill Donnely Chute level (0-100%) are to be measured through Capacitive type
Sensors . These Ruggied and highly accurate sensors avoid the difficulties arising due to
faulty signals raised by Infra Red/ conductivity / LDR / Normal Photo Sensors. These
sensors sense only genuine level through the raining Bagasse into Mill Donnely Chute.
Please read the instructions carefully before installing the system.
Features :
Fast easy- to –use Teach mode Programming for sensing .
No potentiometer adjustment or no conductivity (contact trouble).
Long Term Stability
High Accuracy
Rugged encapsulated design for harsh enviornments
Slectable 0 to10V dc or 4-20mA output for DCS/PLC system
1. The above figure shows the Sensor Mounting on Donnelly Chute. Make a cutout of
1000h x 200w mm ( or as per Donnely Chute Height) by Gas Cutter in the MS
Plate of Donnelly Chute to fix the Perpex glass sheet size 1200h x 300w x8d mm
on the same cutout with Nuts & Bolts of 10M size bolt weled on out side of cutout
of Perpex glass sheet on donnely chute ; Fix the MS Strips as Mounting brackets
by nuts & bolts. S1 through S6 are the Mounting Plates. More can be used if you
require.
2. Again ensure that the Sensor Mounting Plate is raise to the outside of the Donnelly
Chute sensor Plate.
3. Remove the Sensors and clean them before storing in a safe place for Off Season.
This will avoid Physical Damage.
Don’ts:
1. Don’t mount the Sensors on the Feed / Carrier Side of the Donnelly Chute. Best
Sensing is possible only on from the Side wall of Donnely Chute.
2. Don’t Full Weld the Perpex Glass Sheet Frame. Over heating may break the
Sheet.
3. Don’t carry any welding operation near the Sensor. If at all it is absolutely
necessary then take proper care to cover the sensor / remove the Sensor for this
time period. It is not necessary to remove connections you may just unscrew the
sensor and hold it aside. However High Electric Charges developed while Welding
may sometimes fuse the Sensor.
4. Don’t keep the Sensors on the Chute in Off Season. The Sensors are not
designed to or intended to bear Heavy Impact / Mechanical Stress / Mechanical
Strain / Sustained High Temperature (Sensor can safely operate upto 60oC
ambient and 100oC for a short period of less than 60 Secs) / Heavy Electric
Charge. The Sensor will be permanently damaged on exposure to any of the
above.
5. Don’t remove and hang the sensor near the Chute when Mill is in operation.
Operation:
The rising level in the Donnelly Chutes blocks is sensed and signal is given to operate
the relay. The sensor avoids sensing of the falling Bagasse and sensing is given only
when the Donnelly Chute Sensor is completely packed with Bagasse upto the sensor
level.
The Relay Output (Potential Free NO Output) can be given to any Controller / PLC / DCS
as Digital Input. Optional Analog Output is also available as 0 – 10 VDC / 4 – 20 mA
Isolated / Non Isolated.
For adjusting the sensitivity of the Capacitive Sensors by Teaching of Sensor to nullify
the thickness of Perpex Glass sheet to avoid faluse sensing of actual object(bagasse)
inside the Donnely Chute . Fix the sensor on Perpex Glass ensure the complete touching
with Glas wall, Wire as per wiring and give 24VDC Supply ,Teach the sensor by pressing
/roaoting the small screw/button on sensor till the indication LED gose of the Sensor.
Panel Internal Connections:
Please see the Connection Table which is pasted to the Panel Door. A Copy of this
Connection Table will be attached with this Manual.
