I. INTRODUCTION
Nowadays smart phones are becoming more powerful with Arduino Clock speed 16MHz
reinforced processors, larger storage capacities, richer
entertainment function and more communication methods. Operating voltage 5v
Bluetooth is mainly used for data exchange; add new features Analog input pins 6
to smart phones [2]. A smart phone is a mobile phone built on
a mobile computing platform, with more advanced computing DC current per i/o 40ma
ability and connectivity than a feature phone. Smart phones are pin
more affordable and efficient hand held devices which can be
used to support collaborative activities in a community [1]. Bluetooth frequency 2.4GHz

• We will be using HC-05 Bluetooth module for the
system, which can be used as either master or slave.
III. SYSTEM BLOCK DIAGRAM AND
HC-05 is used as master when it is sending status of
DESCRIPTION sensor to mobile and as a slave when receiving
instructions from the mobile.

• Bluetooth module will give the commands given by

smartphone to the microcontroller.

• Arduino Uno will act as the brain of the robot. The

robot movement will be decided by the
microcontroller. The microcontroller will be
programmed with the help of the software Arduino
Genuino software in avr-g++ language.

• Next step is to burn the program in the microcontroller.

This work is done using the same Arduino Genuino
software.

• The smart phone is connected with the HC-05 via

Bluetooth by entering a security password.

• After the two devices are connected commands are

sent to Bluetooth module and it forwards to Arduino
Uno microcontroller.

• The robot responds to the received commands

according to the code inside it.

• The wireless A/V camera is mounted on the robot. It

can record video, click images provide constant video
on the laptop via radio AV receiver.

control makes use of Android mobile phone which is very 2015, 1598-1600
cheap and easily available. For this purpose the android mobile
user has to install a designed application on her/his mobile. User
can use several commands like move reverse, forward, move
left, move right using these commands which are given from
the Android mobile.
The proposed system also shows that how a robot can be used
for spying purpose. For this purpose wireless camera has been
used through which we can see, click photos and record videos
on the laptop.
It has proven to allow for meaningful two-way communication
between the Android phone and the robot which would allow a
non-expert to interact with and adjust the functionality of a
system which uses Arduino Uno.
The use of sensors also helps the robot to act without any
command received. Once the obstacle is sensed it will
automatically move into opposite direction.
In this spirit, it is hoped that the current activity will lead to
further enhancements. For example:
GSM can be used in place of Bluetooth to increase the range of
communication.
GPS can also be interfaced with the GSM to know the location
of the robot in a case the camera got damaged or stops working.
