RESULT AND DISCUSSION

Table I. Length of leaves at 15 days

The table 1 shows the number of leaves taken 15 days after transplanting as
affected by the application of different soil media.
Statistical analysis revealed no significant differences among treatment tested.

Numerically, plants in ordinary garden soil (T1) obtained highest length of leaves with a

mean of 4.71, Followed by plants applied with 1\4 of Sandy soil and 3\4 of loam soil (T2)

with a mean of 4.2. The lowest length of leaves was observed in plants applied with 1\2 of

ordinary garden soil and 1\2 of sandy soil (73) with a mean of 3.7 respectively.

Table II Length of leaves at 75 days.

Table II shows the number of leaves at 75 days as affected by the

application of different soil media.

Statistical analysis revealed no significant differences among treatment

tested. Plants in ordinary garden soil (T1) obtained the highest length leaves with a mean of

19.76, followed of 19.51 and the lowest length of leaves was observed in plants applied

with 1\2 of ordinary garden soil and 1\2 of sandy soil (T3) with a mean of 16.3 respectively.

Table III. Width of leaves at 15days

The table III shows the width of leaves taken 15 days after transplanting as
affected by the by the application of different soil media for green chili pepper.

Statistical analysis revealed no significant differences among treatment

tested. Plants in ordinary garden soil (T1) obtained the highest length leaves with a mean of

2.4, followed by plants applied with 1\4 of sandy soil and 3\4 of loam soil (T2) with a mean

of 1.91 and the smallest width of leaves observed in plants applied 1\2 of ordinary garden

soil and 1\2 of sandy soil (T3) with a mean of 1.56 respectively.

The table IV shows the width of the leaves at 75 days as affected by the
application of different soil media for green chili pepper.

Statistical analysis revealed no significant difference among treatment

tested. Numerically, plants in ordinary garden soil (T1) obtained larger width of leaves with

a mean of 11, followed by plants applied width 1\4 of sandy soil and 3\4 of loam soil (T2)

with a mean of 10.86 and the smallest width of leaves was observed in plants applied with

1\2 of ordinary garden soil and 1\2 of sandy soil (T3) with a mean of 10.4 respectively.

affected by the application of different soil media for green chili pepper.

Statistical analysis revealed no significant differences among treatment

tested numerically, plants in ordinary garden soil (T1) obtained the highest plant height

width a mean of 12.87, followed by plants applied with 1\4 of sandy soil and 3\4 of loam soil

(T2) with a mean of 11.77 and the lowest plant height observed in plants applied with 1\2 of

ordinary garden soil and 1\2 sandy soil (T3) with a mean of 10.80 respectively.

Table VI. Plant height at 75 days.

The table VI shows the plant height at 75 days as affected by the


application of different soil media for green chili pepper.

Statistical analysis revealed no significant difference among treatment

tested. Numerically, plants in ordinary garden soil (T1) obtained the highest plant height

with a mean of 57.11, followed by plants applied width 1\4 of sandy soil and 3\4 of loam soil

(T2) with a mean of 5.17 and the lowest plant height was observed in plants applied with

1\2 of ordinary garden soil and 1\2 of sandy soil (T3) with a mean of 49.03 respectively.

The table VII shows the number of the leaves taken 20 days after
transplanting as affected by the application of different soil media for green chili pepper.

Statistical analysis revealed no significant difference among treatment

tested. Numerically, plants applied width 1\4 of sandy soil and 3\4 of loam soil (T2) obtained

more number of leaves with a mean of 10.44, followed by plants in ordinary garden soil (T1)

with a mean of 9.67 and the lowest number of leaves was observed in plants applied with

1\2 of ordinary garden soil and 1\2 of sandy soil (T3) with a mean of 6.11 respectively.

The table VIII shows the number of the leaves at 75 days as affected by the
application of different soil media for green chili pepper.

Statistical analysis revealed no significant difference among treatment

tested. Numerically, plants applied width 1\4 of sandy soil and 3\4 of loam soil (T2) obtained

more number of leaves with a mean of 119.89, followed by plants in ordinary garden soil

(T1) with a mean of 110.56 and the lowest number of leaves was observed in plants applied

with 1\2 of ordinary garden soil and 1\2 of sandy soil (T3) with a mean of 88.22 respectively.

The table IX shows the weight of fruits at 1st harvest as affected by the
application of different soil media for green chili pepper.

Statistical analysis revealed no significant difference among treatment

tested. Numerically, plants in ordinary garden soil (T1) obtained the heaviest weight of fruit

with a mean of 80, followed by plants applied width 1\4 of sandy soil and 3\4 of loam soil

(T2) with a mean of 75 and the light weight of frits was observed in plants applied with 1\2

of ordinary garden soil and 1\2 of sandy soil (T3) with a mean of 40 respectively.

The table X shows the weight of fruits at 1st harvest as affected by the
application of different soil media for green chili pepper.

Statistical analysis revealed no significant difference among treatment

tested. Numerically, plants applied with 1\4 sandy soil and 3\4 loam soil (T2) obtained the

heaviest weight of fruits with a mean of 375, followed by plants with ordinary garden soil

(T1) with a mean of 345 and the light weight of fruits was observed in plants applied with

1\2 ordinary garden soil and 1\2 sandy soil (T3) with a mean of 300 respectively.
