THIS SERVICE AGREEMENT IS MADE THIS DAY WEDNESDAY 18THOF DECEMBER 2019 BETWEEN
BESTTON ENGINEERING SERVICES GHANA AND AMIR GHULAM
JOB DESIGNATION: SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

After evaluation of your CV and work experience(s), we found you qualified to work with our project
team. Hence, Bestton Engineering Services Ghana seeks to employ your services for the provision of
expatriate services as stipulated in the following acts and conditions herein. This document embodies
the approved terms for the purpose of this contract.

1.1 JOB LOCATION: The work location is in Bestton Engineering Services Accra, Ghana.

2.0 JOB RESPONSIBILITY: Your job profile or responsibility has been written, arranged and packaged; it
shall be dispatched to your provided address through courier service.

2.1 JOB SITE/JOINING DATE: (Accra, Ghana) 25th of January 2020.

3.0 BASIC MONTHLY SALARY: $12,500.00 (Twelve Thousand and Five Hundred USA Dollars ) paid per
month after tax deductions.

HAZARD/ INCONVENIENCES: $500.00 (Monthly)

VEHICLE MAINTENANCE: $500.00 (Monthly)


HOUSING & FURNISHINGS: $1,500.00 (Yearly)

All payment shall be made in USA dollars and Bestton Engineering Service Ghana shall equip the
contractor with tax deduction receipt or certificate after every payment.

3.1CONTRACT DURATION: Three years (36 Months) and renewable after contract duration.

4.0 RELOCATION PREREQUISITES: You will be expected to resume working at posted location Bestton
Engineering Services Accra, Ghana after your two weeks probationary period or training orientation
here in Bestton Engineering Services Accra, Ghana. Work time shall be 48 hours a week (8hrs a day)
for three years contract term. Fridays are work free days for our Muslims workers while Sundays are
for the Christians.

Employee shall also be entitled to over-time allowance payment of $60 per hour if their work time
exceeds the official stipulated hours. Salary shall be liable to Increments with time and employees'
official promotions and position in service. This is with effect from the 10th of February 2020.

Any selected candidate for Bestton Engineering Services Ghana Not presently possessing a valid
GHANA EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION CARD shall be expected to personally incur all expenses as
shall be related to the processing, procurement and acquisition of their necessary permits clearance
papers with our Procurement Counselors and shall be duly reimbursed alongside payment for Ghana
Employment Authorization Card process will be substantiated with receipts and Bestton Engineering
Services Ghana will reimburse the employee not later than five(5) working days after submission of
employee’s expense report and receipts.

It is totally the right of the company to procure all working and relocation related documents/papers
for their respective employees but due to company’s past experiences with previous employees who
obviously failed to relocate due to minus reasons after spending money for their visa and permit card.

For the management to acknowledge your commitment to work with the company, you have to
procure your Ghana Employment Authorization Card and later be reimbursed by the company and
your Employment Visa and flight ticket to Ghana shall be immediately provided by the company
thereafter.

Bestton Engineering Services Ghana shall be fully responsible for reimbursement of all expenses for
processing of Ghana Employment Authorization Card(Work-permit)to the employee/contractor after
confirmation of payment receipts.

You are required to furnish us with your valid Ghana Employment Authorization Card on or before

30th of December 2019 as a proof of readiness to join Bestton Engineering Services Ghana in the due
time as stipulated above for your job resumption with the Bestton Engineering Services Ghana and
also to enable you receive your Visa payment/ first month upfront salary including your due
entitlements/emoluments prior to your departure for services with Bestton Engineering Services
Ghana.

However, for expatriate who do not have valid Ghana Employment Authorization Card, are to make
contact with our procurement Specialist here in Ghana. Below are contact details for directives and
assistance on the acquisition and procurement of valid Ghana Employment Authorization Card.

4.1 GRANTS & LOANS:OLD SCHEME HOUSING LOAN: 1 year service to Bestton Engineering Services
Ghana is required for eligibility. Starter’s amount will be $21, 971 can be re-paid within 10 years with
$0.00 interests.

LIEU CAR LOAN: All employees are eligible to apply. Starter’s amount will be $ 6,000 can be re-paid
within 2years.

TRAFFORD BUSINESS LOAN: All Employees are eligible to apply starter’s amount will be $ 15, 000 to
$30,000 annually, contact the concerned department for more details.

5.0 LEAVE PERIOD: Employees are entitled to one time leave in four months; the duration of the leave
is one month each. Employee will receive $2,600 take home for each leave period.

5.1 ACCOMODATION AND TRANSPORTATION: Bestton Engineering Services Ghana has provided a
suitable accommodation in the forms of self content (applying to single employees) and family sized
accommodations (in the case of married employees) in Bestton Engineering Services Ghana
Residential Estates. Services of chauffeurs, gardeners, stewards and butlers are available upon
request by employees at the expense of Bestton Engineering Services Ghana. Privacy rights are strictly
observed and will “NOT BE VIOLATED”.For transportation, a model 2017 Honda Pilot EX-L (A6) FWD
will be provided to the contractor with a full time driver.

6.0. Medical/Health Service Facilities and Insurance Plan for Family: All expatriates shall be entitled to
a comprehensive health care service, which are to be administered by medical experts on job
locations.

In a case of emergency situation, an expatriate will be flown to his/her home country or any country
suitable for the best medical attention. This decision can be influenced by the findings of the
company’s medical experts, unless the expatriate in question states otherwise.
After three (3) months of service all expatriates will be entitled to a Health Service Insurance Plan
(HSIP) for family. The Health Service Insurance Plan is designed to cover only three (3) members of
your family. The Health Service Insurance Plan (HSIP) allowance can also be paid to the expatriates at
the rate of $1,000.00 per family member per month which can be transferred on monthly basis
without being subjected to tax.

6.1 OFFICE GADGETS TO BE PROVIDED: LAPTOP COMPUTER: HP Pavilion DV6, 60GB Hard Drive, Floppy
Drive, Integrated Network Adapter, Internal 56K Modem, Spare Battery and necessary software shall
be provided for workers in the administrative, secretarial layouts and designing departments. Full
time Internet access is available for all workers.

7.0 SAFETY & SECURITY: Safety and security of personnel (local/foreign) facilities on job locations and
communities are serious issues, and have been seriously considered to ensure and assure hitch free
operations.

All operations on job location are designed to adhere strictly to the standards of Ghana Health and
Safety Department (GHSD) and Ghana Environmental Health Authority (GEHA) as applicable in the
civil engineering, construction & environmental health sector.

7.1ADDITIONAL SERVICES: Recreational/Sports facilities shall be made available at the disposal of all
employees with no expenses to be incurred. Laundry and dry cleaning service will be made available
to employee by the quarter’s laundry and dry cleaning unit on request.

Expenses made by the employer in relation to house hood equipments (e.g. TV, DVD, Desktop
computer etc) pets, and other personal assets shall not be reimbursed as these would be considered
employees responsibility.

8.0 TERMINATION OF AGREEMENT

The company may terminate this agreement by giving one month’s written notice in any of the
following circumstances:

(i)The contractor is convicted of an offence, which affects the performance of his/her duties;

(ii)The contractor acts in a way which the company considers materially prejudicial to its business or
reputation or interests of its members;

(iii)The Contractor fails to perform the services expeditiously, with reasonable diligence and in a
competent manner;

(iv)The contractor commits or permits any breach of the terms of this agreement and fails to remedy
the breach within 14 days of receiving notice in writing from the company requiring the breach to be
remedied;
(v)The Contractor dies or becomes unable to perform their duties due to illness of incapacity;

8. 1THE CONTRACT AGREEMENT

This agreement supersedes and replaces all previous contracts, written and verbal, between the
parties and constitutes the entire agreement between the parties.

Neither party may assign their obligations nor rights under this agreement to any other person in any
circumstances whatsoever except with the prior written consent of Bestton Engineering Services
Ghana .

No waiver of any breach of this agreement shall be deemed to be a waiver of any other or subsequent
breach. The failure of either party to enforce any provision of this agreement at any time shall not be
interpreted as a waiver of the provision.

This agreement is constructed in accordance with section 6 of the Ghana Employment Act Bill 2015. A
single arbitrator agreed upon by the parties shall decide any dispute between the parties arising out
of this agreement.
