Spelling Bee 2018- 2019

MECHANICS:

1. Five contestants in each level will compete in this contest.

2. Words are classified into three (3) categories; EASY, AVERAGE, and DIFFICULT. For the EASY
round, each correct answer is equivalent to 1 point. Two (2) points for the AVERAGE round and
three (3) points for the DIFFICULT round.
3. The contestants are given only 20 seconds to answer the EASY round, 30 seconds for the
AVERAGE round and 60 seconds for the DIFFICULT round.
4. Winners will be identified after the three (3) rounds.
5. In case of a tie, a CLINCHER round will be conducted to break the tie. Every correct answer is
equivalent to 5 points.
