Re-certification Options for SMRP

Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (CMRP)
To maintain certification all CMRP’s must participate in 50 hours of relevant skill development and/or training
within the initial three (3) year certification period and each subsequent three (3) year cycle. This can be
achieved by participating in any combination of items from the list of approved activities listed below. Applicants must specify
participation, and provide hours for a minimum of 2 areas from the activities listed below. Please use this form to provide a written
summary of your relevant skills development and training, and indicate the hours associated with each of the approved activities (See
page 2 for associated hours for approved activities). Complete and return it by the anniversary date of your CMRP certification along with
the applicable recertification fee. No other documentation is required at time of submission of this application. However, the information
provided is subject to random audit by SMRPCO. Proof of reported activities will be required to be submitted to SMRPCO, if this
application is selected for audit. In lieu of meeting this requirement, a CMRP may elect to re-take the exam for certification.

The “Body of Knowledge”, (BoK), developed by SMRP, is divided into 5 subject areas which represent the capabilities required to achieve
certification in Maintenance and Reliability Management. These subject areas are:

2. Manufacturing Process Reliability
3. Equipment Reliability
4. Organization and Leadership
5. Work Management
