The following guidelines have been provided for the preparation of project work
report
Fonts
Project work reports are typed in Times New Roman using 12-point characters.
Students may reduce the font size within tables or figures to fit within margins.
However, keep the font consistent throughout report document.
Page Numbers
The preliminary pages (preceding the first main section) must have lower case
Roman numerals starting with the abstract page that is numbered “ii”. The title
page is unnumbered, but the implied number is”. The lowercase Roman numeral
set placed within the footer (bottom center).
The first page of text (typically the Introduction) uses the Arabic number“1” and
pages the rafter carry consecutive Arabic numbers, including the pages in the
Appendices and References .Arabic numbers are positioned in the upper right-hand
order ,one inch from the to pan done inch in from the right edge of the paper.

Background
Background of the study
The background study for a research paper includes a review of the area being researched,
current information surrounding the issue, previous studies on the issue, and relevant history on
the issue.
Ideally, the study should effectively set forth the history and background information on your
report problem.
Background of organization
The background of the organisation for research paper includes of current information of
organisation that researcher has chosen.
It also includes previous and relevant history of the organisation chosen.
Objectives
This refers to the objectives of the research topic. The whole assignment or research should be
based on objectives that you have set.
Research objectives are the result sought by the researcher at the end of the research process,
i.e. what the researcher will be able to achieve at the end of the research study.
A well –worded objective will be SMART, i.e. Smart, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-
Bound. It also should be Relevant, Feasible, Logical, Observable, and Unequivocal (clear)
Limitation
Limitations are influences that the researcher cannot control.
They are the shortcomings, conditions or influences that cannot be controlled by the researcher
that place restriction on your methodology and conclusion.
Methodology
The methodology describes the broad philosophical underpinning to your chosen research
methods including whether you are using qualitative or quantitative methods, or a mixture of
both, and why.
Method
These methods vary by the sources from which information is obtained, how that information is
sampled, and the types of instruments that are used in data collection. Methods also vary by
whether they collect qualitative data, quantitative data or both.
