SYLLABUS

Name of Subject: Hairdressing (TVL)


Subject Teacher: Ms. Vida Glorillen M. Adviento

Semester: 2nd Semester (4th Quarter)
Required Number of Hours: 320 Hours
Subject Description: This course is designed for a high school student to develop the
knowledge, skills and attitude to perform the services related to hairdressing. It covers
the core competencies of (1) hair care and scalp treatment, (2) hair perming, and (3)
hair cutting. The preliminaries of this specialization course include the following: 1) core
concepts in hairdressing; 2) discussion on the relevance of the course, and 3) an
exploration of career opportunities in hairdressing.

Learning Objectives:

1. Be Informed. Students are expected to understand the fundamentals


and process in haircutting.
2. Be Skilled. Students are expected to develop skills and attitude in performing
haircutting.
3. Be Dynamic. Students are expected to be responsive and active in following
directions in the different performance tasks and class works.

4.1 Blow-dry and check hair for accuracy and finishing touches
