How can eating MORE food help you lose weight?

It can’t…

Losing weight is about creating a caloric deficit, (Burn more calories- Eat less calories) if you aren’t losing
weight, chances are you need to start tracking your food to see where you’re going wrong.

We should deliberately aspire to eat for health i.e. plan your meals with specific intent to fuel your body
with what it needs and be devoted to this plan .

It’s not easy.

So, in the meantime.

Don’t overeat all the time

Don’t starve yourself all the time

Don’t eat only what’s convenient all the time

Don’t allow your emotions to dictate your food all the time.

I remember growing up with a very specific meal schedule; soup on Saturdays, chicken or beef with rice
and peas only on Sundays, mince and macaroni on Mondays, etc.

When I stayed with my grandmother even snacks were planned, it didn’t seem deliberately organized, it
just seemed to be natural for my mother and grandmother to do.

These days, it seems more and more the exception for people to eat on a schedule; when we talk about
food scheduling, it’s usually in the context of some kind of need to adjust how we look, Now we only see
the need to plan our meals if we want to lose weight, gain weight, as part of a competitive athletic
strength and conditioning program or to prepare for some physique competition.

“Food Governs Your Destiny: The Teachings of Namboku Mizuno” is a book by Michio Kushi (PDF is
available online free), Namboku Mizuno, who lived in the 1700s, emphasized the connection of diet and
lifestyle with good fortune and health

In Mizuno’s day, food was generally of a high quality and nutrient rich nature, so instead of convincing
people to stay away from crappy food, his message warned against overeating and disorderly eating i.e.
eating at irregular times, and in irregular ways. He believed that eating simply, orderly and in small
amounts, was of the greatest benefit to the human experience.
While there are many studies that laud the many benefits of practicing eating small amounts of food
regularly or fasting regularly since then, but one needs to understand that fasting is an intentional
practice aimed at eliciting a particular result (spiritually or physically).

Skipping meals due to a busy schedule or because of convenience is not the most beneficial behavior for
your health, physique or fitness, if it's deliberate and nutrient dense that's another story

There are nutritional strategies to address any goal that you have; spiritual, physique, athletic
performance or health; Macrobiotic, Atkins, Paleo, Zone, Pritikin, Intermittent Fasting, counting
Macronutrients etc.

All very valid, well researched and beneficial for a lot of people, depending on their dedication.

Whatever road you decide to take, your eating habit should be a deliberate and committed effort that
should be looked on as a powerful ally on your journey to your specific goals.
