Reading Skills: Taking Notes
Taking notes helps you organise and remember important ideas and information. When you take notes, you
write only the most important words and ideas. It’s not necessary to write complete sentences.
Sometimes you may want to take notes on the main topics and details in a text.

Bali is an island and a province in Indonesia. The province includes the island of Bali and a few other islands.
The island is known as an island of a thousand temples. There are about 3,100,000 people in Bali. Bali’s most
important city is Denpasar. Hinduism is Bali’s largest religion. More than 90% of its people are Hindus.

Instagram is a photo and video-sharing social networking service owned by Facebook, Inc. It was created by
Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger, and launched in October 2010 exclusively on iOS devices (iPhone). A
version for Android devices was released a year and half later, in April 2012. The app allows users to upload
photos and videos to the service, which can be edited with various filters, and organised with tags and location
information. An account’s posts can be shared publicly or with pre-approved followers. Users can browse
other users’ content by tags and locations, and view trending content. Users can like photos, and follow other
users to add their content to a feed.

Choi Jin-ri (최진리) is born on March 29, 1994. She is better known by her stage name Sulli. She was a
South Korean singer-songwriter, actress and model. She played the young Princess Seonhwa of Silla in the
SBS drama “Ballad of Seodong” (2005). In 2009, Sulli became a member of the South Korean girl group
f(x). She left the group in 2015 to focus on her acting career. She made her solo debut album in June 2019
with the single album “Goblin”. Sulli was found dead at her Seongnam apartment by her manager on
October 14, 2019 at the age of 25. She suffered from depression and police are investigating her death as a
"possible suicide".
