13 Ways to Know if You Are in the Right

Business, Product Or Service

Assess the points below for your business, product or service

that you are currently building or want to pursue in the future, and
rate each one of them on a scale of 1-10; 10 is the most likely.

1 Market It has to have a potential market, or you are solving a

problem that people need to be solved. Don't solve a
problem that doesn't need to be solved. Does it have a
high repeat buy?

2 Passion & You need to enjoy doing this business because passion
Energy and energy are what will keep you going during the
challenging times so you don't quit. Are you passionate &
energized about it?

3 Profit It needs to be profitable and deliver a high net profit. Does

it make you money?

4 Knowledge How much do you know about this business? Do you

& Skills have enough expertise & skills related to it? How
knowledgeable are you in this business?

5 Capital Is it a capital-intensive business? Is it matching your

current financial status? How easy is it to finance this
business?

6 Delivery & How easy can you deliver or fulfill this product or service
Fulfillment to customers? How easy is it for you to build it, create it,
perform it, ship it?

7 Sales How easy can you sell this product or service? How easy
Potential can you get people to pay you?

8 Sustainability Can you keep doing this business or selling the product &
service over and over again?

9 Scalability & Can you automate or replicate it quickly? Can you

Automation franchise or automate it? Can you delegate
it to your team to do the job so you can scale bigger and
faster?

10 Work-Life Does it fit your lifestyle? Does it have a convenient

Balance location? Is it close to your family or the people you love?
Is it matching your usual routine? Does it fit your ideal
working day and lifestyle?

11 Risk How risky is it to pursue this venture? What's the financial

risk, time risk, effort risk?

12 Test & Survey How fast and easy is it to test your business? Can you
test a minimum valuable product quickly and with little
risk? Can you survey the market easily?

13 Believe What is your overall belief that this business, product or

service will work?

Step 1: Write down your current or potential business, product or

service in the first column of the following worksheet.

Step 2: Rate each of the 13 criteria listed in the worksheet below on a

scale of 1-10, with ten being the most likely, by making a circle around
each score next to each business, product or service that you listed in
column one.

Step 3: After you rate each criterion from 1 to 10, you will come up
with a total score number in the last column. If you evaluate all the
businesses, products, services that you have in mind in the same way
by listing them under each other in the following worksheet, you will
come up with a conclusion regarding which business, product or
service is the right one for you to pursue based on the highest total
score.
