KPOP DANCE COMPETITION GUIDELINES

1. Contestants must be bonafide students from BISU Main Campus.

2. Cover groups must have the same number of members as the group they are covering.

3. Male groups can also perform a girl group’s dance and vice versa.

4. Strictly no REVEALING OUTFITS. Approach the SSG committee heads for costume checking.

5. Groups must be 4-13 members only.

6. ORIGINAL SONGS should be used. No remix allowed.

7. Contestants may use props as long as it won’t affect anything in the competition.

8. For the BISU KPOP VISUAL, contestants must have an aura and appearance of a Kpop Idol.

I CAN SING MANDARIN COMPETITION GUIDELINES

5. The contestant must be a bonafide student of the Bohol Island State University-Main
Campus.

2. The contestant must wear a Chinese costume during the competition proper. (It should be a
costume coming from the different places who adopted the language “Mandarin”)

3. The whole piece of song should be originated from country that uses Mandarin as their language.

4. The lyrics of the song should be Mandarin. (It is considered if it contains only a bit of English
lyrics)

5. The contestant must provide a hard copy of an English translation of the song to the committee
4 days before the competition proper, failure to submit within the deadline will automatically be
disqualified.

LIP SYNC BATTLE COMPETITION GUIDELINES

1. Registration is open to the first 4 teams that have a complete form. Forms can be taken and
should retrieve at the SSG Office.

2. A team should range from 1 to 8 people. Eligible team members should be a bonafide student
of BISU Main Campus. All team member's names only are included in the registration form. Only
the individuals listed on the registration form can perform.

3. Individuals can only compete in one act.

4. Each may use props. The props must be listed on the registration form to be approved by the
Lip Sync Battle Committee. Props not included on the registration form cannot be used in the
performance. Fog machines, bubble machines, fire, water, and glitter ate prohibited. Microphones
will be provided.

5. Music must be submitted with registration form to be approved by the Lip Sync Battle
Committee Songs must be originated in Asia. Failure to submit the music may result in the
cancellation of the team's registration. Each will be notified whether they have been approved yo
participate.

6. The maximum time limit is only four (4) minutes per performance. After four minutes, the music
will fade out.

Helpful Hints

⚫Perform a song that is fun, crowd appealing and not more than 4 minutes long

⚫Some of the best songs for lip-syncing are upbeat tunes that allow plenty of facial expressions
and exaggerated movements. Generally speaking, lip-synced songs are performed with fast beats.

⚫Costume and props are strongly encouraged.

⚫Be creative with your props, costumes, and choreography. Remember that you are being scored
on creativity and appearances as well as your ability to lip-sync.

⚫Before the start of rehearsals, we suggest you share your idea with the Lip Sync Battle
committee to avoid any duplications or complications later on.

⚫Bring your cheering section of family and friends and have fun.

BATTLE OF THE BANDS COMPETITION GUIDELINES

1. Only 5 (five) bands will be accepted to perform during the event.


2. The contest is open to all bonafide students of Bohol Island State University-Main
Campus.
3. Registration is through Google form. https://forms.gle/fmZKY2NwHUXG2kmPA
4. Bands must provide the song lyrics through the google form.
5. The band must be composed of not less than four (4) members, but not more
than eight (8) members.
6. The band should play 3 songs.
● 1 Anime Song
○ English anime songs are prohibited
● 1 Bisrock
○ Should be given the song a fresh new taste (different
arrangement) without altering the genre of the music
● 1 Thank You song
○ an original composition is encouraged
○ the song must be thanking something/someone
○ any dialect or language will do
7. A time limit of 15 minutes of performance per band. In every exceeding 30 (thirty)
seconds, 5 (five) points will be deducted from the band's total score.
8. Medley arrangement of songs is not allowed.
9. The band must wear anime costumes depending on their anime songs for it is part of the criteria
and there will be a special award for the Best Band Costume as well.
10. There will be awards to be given:
■ Best Drummer
■ Best Bassist
■ Best Lead Guitarist
✔Best Band Costume

Where: G’s Music Studio (Near Wisdom school)
When: November 23, 2019 @ 8:30am
What to prepare:
● 1 anime song (must be in Japanese)
● Instruments, cords, extension wires
● Outfit for pictorial

ASIAN ACCENT DUBBED COMPETITION GUIDELINES

1. The participants must be a bonafide students of Bohol Island State University Main Campus.

2. The video is minumum of 3 minutes and a maximum of 5 minutes.

3. Using of foul and vulgar words are not allowed in the video ,videos who violated the said rule
will automatically disquafied.

4. The video who has the most "HAHA" reacts and number of shares will be the winner.

5. Free to use random topics as long as they're using Asian dubbed.

CHRISTMAS CAROLING with BISU IDiscount COMPETITION GUIDELINES

1. Must be a bonafide student of BISU Main Campus.

2. Open to a solo, partners or by a group and should not exceed 30 persons in a group.

3. The performer/s should perform any Christmas carols or medley, English, Filipino or in any
language. (As long as it is a language coming from Asian countries).

4. Performer/s can sing with accompaniment or acapella.

5. The performance should not last beyond 10 minutes.

6. Must choose an establishment partnered by IDiscount to relate to the performance.
