1. Introduction :
This document contains the release notes for AirN@v Maintenance for A320fam/A330/A340/A380.
Information to be taken into account for this version:
• To know the meaning of the abbreviations used in the Release Notes, please refer to the AirN@v Glossary function.
• Implementation of density display: When using the Word Search function, users can see the density of results displayed in the table of
content. These news icons allow to identify easier the chapter (section, tasks...) which contains most of results.
• This version of AirN@v Maintenance requires ADOC N@vigator V3.17 or higher.
2. Modification list for version V3.10
2.1. Corrections (issues fixed in this version)
Short description Document printed is truncated

Identification type: correction ref: 3425
Description Operational Impact: Printed document might miss relevant/mandatory information.
Description: When printing a large document, the printed document can be truncated.
Workaround or issue: Print smaller parts of document
Short description Attachment export creates duplicate entries

Description Operational Impact : Many occurrences of the same attachment are displayed which increase the risk for
application instability
Description: If the user has more than one anchorId for an attachment, when exporting and reattach this
attachment, it appears twice in the publication.
Workaround or issue : After exporting attachments, check and clean each "*.sgm" document before re-import the
zip file.
Short description Slowness to load some AMM tasks

Description Operational Impact : Time consuming
Description: Some tasks containing large tables take too much time to be loaded.
Workaround or issue : No workaround
Short description Silent Print not available for Job Card package
Description Operational Impact : customer cannot use this option to print Job Cards
Description: when printing a Job Card, the option "Silent Print" is not available.
Short description Job Card: titles of non-effective figures printed

Description Operational Impact : Non effective information should not be displayed in case of "Hidden" setting selected
Description: SVR has found an issue on the printing of their job card, titles of non effective figures are printed
although the user preference is set to "Hidden".
Workaround or issue : The customer can print through a normal print without using the job card printing function

Short description Aircraft Search function is missing in the Applicability Configuration windows
Description Operational Impact : The Aircraft Search function is missing in the Applicability Configuration windows. This
function added with AirN@v v3, has been removed due to some limitation. According to them, it generates a
significant lost of time.
Short description Print of TIFF illustration

Description Operational Impact : TIFF illustration cannot be printed.
Short description AMM figure number changed on the printout

Description Operational Impact : The customer is wondering if the subject printed figure is effective as the CONF part refers
to the applicability aspect.
Short description Job Card module: Attached document are not printed
Description Operational Impact : There is an option "Print attached documents" in the printing option windows for Job Card
module. This option once ticked, enable the user to directly print the attachment at the end of the document.
However this option does not work properly.
Short description Effectivity revised not highlighted in some cases

Description Operational Impact : User does not see that the information has been revised.
Description: There is no revision bar displayed when the effectivity is revised in one specific case (2 SGML tags
REVST/REVEND).
Short description Search button disabled in the Word Search window

Description Operational Impact : The user feels he cannot use the wild card character and therefore that he cannot search
from only part of a reference.
Workaround or issue : Use the "Enter" key.
Short description Job Card: titles of non-effective figures printed

Description Operational Impact : Non effective information should not be displayed in case of "Hidden" setting selected
Description: SVR has found an issue on the printing of their job card, titles of non effective figures are printed
although the user preference is set to "Hidden".

Workaround or issue : The customer can print through a normal print without using the job card printing function
2.2. Limitations (restrictions of functions in this version)
Short description Highlighted elements not enough visible in AWM illustrations

Identification type: limitation ref: 2296, 2302
Description Operational Impact : Highlighted elements in illustrations are not clearly visible by users.
Short description General TOC Display issue

Identification type: limitation ref: 2310
Description: When browsing in the TOC, it moves on the right. If the user wants to select another location, he has
to move the bar on the left to allow selection of another ATA.
Target version : not targeted
Short description Paper orientation on Print Basket Content

Description Operational Impact : The paper orientation proposed in the Printing options is "Portrait" by default instead of
"Landscape".
Short description ESPM Attachment

Description Operational Impact : When attaching a document to the ESPM manual, the document is well attached however
there is no attachment icon in the TOC. Furthermore, the document can not be retrieved in the "Manage
attachment" menu.
Workaround or issue : No workaround found yet
Short description AMM Panel display

Description Operational Impact : When several panels are listed in the AMM, they are not listed sequentially with separator.
Short description Cannot attach document to several locations in one time

Description Operational Impact : Very time consuming as user have to attach manually your document to each anchor point
Description : In AirN@v v3, it is not possible to attach one attachment in various anchor location as it was in
AirN@v v2.
Workaround or issue : Administrator has to manually attach document to each location.

Short description Error message occurrence once AirN@v v3 link clicked and Java launcher appears

Description Operational Impact : User is unable to launch the application
Description: When clicking on the AirN@v v3 link, Java launcher appears and then the following error occurs:
"The following plugin elements have caused an error: awn_kernel. The application could have malfunctions."
Short description Error message when using Dynamic Wiring FIN Search
Description Operational Impact : User is unable to get the FIN results in Dynamic Wiring module
Description: In some cases, when looking for a FIN reference in the Dynamic Wiring module, an error message is
encountered: "An error occurred requesting the server"
Target version: not targeted.
Short description Warning messages due to certificates signatures

Description Operational Impact : When launching AirN@v, a warning message "certificate unknown" appears because the
Airbus java security certificate is not up-to-date.
Short description Attachment blurred in AirN@v PDF viewer

Description Operational Impact : When attaching a PDF, the display within AIRNAV is blurred.
Short description Not possible to run the console as administrator when ADOC is installed on a different drive than the C:
drive
Description Operational Impact : Customers cannot install AirN@v services if they have installed their ADOC N@vigator on
another drive than their system drive.
Short description Attachments not showing in printout

Description Operational Impact : There is an option "Print attached documents" in the printing option windows. This option
once ticked, enable the user to directly print the Airline comment at the end of the document. However this option
does not work properly in some cases described below with more details.

Short description PIPC Neo CFM not consultable

Description Operational Impact : PIPC Neo CFM manual cannot be opened due to effectivity management issue.
Short description AIPC link on "Conditional Spares" does not work

Description Operational Impact : Users cannot access to the Conditional Spares description for a part number.
Short description Disconnection from Airbus portal

Description Operational Impact : After clicking on some part numbers in the AIPC manual, user can be disconnected from
AirN@v.
Short description Part Numbers informations not accessible

Description Operational Impact : Some part numbers informations cannot be consulted neither threw the PN window notr
using the search form Numerical Index.
Short description Applicability filtering issue on AWL manual

Description Operational Impact : In "hidden" mode, a error message appears when users filter on a specific MSN in the AWL
manual.
Short description AMM graphics not well displayed when printing current display
Description Operational Impact : When printing AMM graphics from which a "zoom in" has been made, the footer overlaps
the graphic.
Short description Word Search - Error message when word is in a figure

Description Operational Impact : Unable to use the Word Search in figures
Description : Using the Word Search, an error message is displayed when the occurrence is found in a figure "An
error occurred while opening a document".

Short description Access issue to one publication of the publication list

Description Operational Impact : User is not able to consult a publication AirN@v Maintenance through AirbusWorld.
Description : On AirbusWorld, one user cannot open one publication. He can open others publications AirN@v
Maintenance. Issue occurs when user has unselected all aircraft on the "Filtering effectivity" function in a previous
session.
Short description Export attachments issue

Description Operational Impact : User is not able to transfer attachments from a previous publication to a new publication.
Description : In some cases, the export of attachments fails. The issue comes from attachments previously
imported which contains some discrepancies. The attachments import succeed with incorrect information. Then,
the attachments export fails.
Short description Print - Issue during preview generation

Description Operational Impact : User does not know if the printed document is correct.
Description : Users encounter an error message when printing some AMM tasks. The error message "An error
occurred during the preview generation. Some parts of the original document might be missing. Part of the
content overflows the visible frame and could not be rendered". This is a warning message to explain that the
printed document can be incomplete.
Short description Attachments exported are not the one expected

Description Operational Impact : The transfer of attachments from a previous publication to the new publication can be
incomplete. This may cause some misunderstanding.
Description : The Export attachments function available on "Administration Console" / "Manage Attachments"
does not work correctly if the administrator makes a selection of relevant attachments before exporting.
Short description Error when attaching a document with an ID > 24 char

Description Operational Impact : User is not able to attach requested documents
Description: When a user tries to attach a document with more than 24 characters in the ID Field, the application
freezes and the publication gets corrupted.
Short description Same AMM links reach two different procedures

Description Operational Impact : customer might follow the wrong procedure as both links are identical
Description: On some specific cases, when looking for a link to two different procedures (with a variant), both
links are identical and there is no possibility to identify which link leads to which procedure

Short description KEYs of elements containing dots found when searching a PN information
Description Operational Impact : When searching a PN Information, an error may occur due to an AWN limitation. Indeed, in
some cases KEYs of elements contain dots.
Short description Publication failure when searching PN information in IPC manual

Description Operational Impact : When searching a PN information in IPC manual, an error pop-up appears on the main view
with the following message: "An unexpected error occurred on the server".
Short description AWN freezing after clicking on three TSM hyperlinks to IPC
Description Operational Impact : Clicking on TSM hyperlinks to IPC when two clicks from TSM hyperlinks to IPC are already
opened, AirN@v is freezing and the Java process needs to be killed.
5. Modification list for version V3.9
Short description SB NBR in Service Bulletin List not displayed as hyperlink

Description Operational Impact : This hyperlink allowing navigation from Service Bulletin list to part of manual (graphic or text)
is not displayed.
Short description Attached document are not printed

Description Operational Impact : Printing an element which contains an attached document, only prints the element but not
the document attached, even if "print attached document" in the printing option is ticked.
Short description Job Card header at printing preview

Description Operational Impact : The Job Card Header displays "applicability_text" in A/C Reg section instead of the A/C
range.
Short description Job Card printed without MSN information

Description Operational Impact : Missing mandatory information to ensure that the JobCard will be done on the right aircraft
Description: When a user wants to print a Job Card using the button "Print Job Card", the selected MSN is not
printed on the Job Card header.
Short description Incorrect display of panel


Description Operational Impact : Displayed panel reference is very difficult to understand
Description: In AMM for some tasks and subtasks, the panel number is not correctly displayed.
Short description Document printed with incorrect aircraft type

Description Operational Impact : Displayed information not meaningful to user
Description: When user prints a document, the header displays incorrect information related to the Aircraft type
Short description Figure configuration number is missing in AirN@v printout

Description Operational Impact : Printed reference for figure is different than Figure reference in AirN@v which could be
misleading
Description: When printing a figure in AirN@v, the configuration number is missing in the figure reference in the
print header and figure footer.
Short description Printing function performances issue

Description: Print from AirN@v directly to printer takes a very long time.
Short description AMM Task effectivity for A319 and A320 are missing
Description Operational Impact : Misleading information: Incorrect zone displayed
Description: When selecting a TASK and then clicking on the Zone listed in the Job Set up information, the zone
opened is not the correct one, it applies to another effectivity.
Short description TSP - Find a TSM task related to IAE chapters not working
Description Operational Impact : User is not able to find the relevant TSM task related to a Fault Message.
Description : On TroubleShooting, it is not possible to find TSM tasks searching Fault Messages or Warning
Malfunctions related to IAE chapters.
Short description AIPC Numerical Index: Target has not been reached automatically
Description Operational Impact : User does not systematically find his reference when clicking on one Numerical Index result
Description: For some Part Number, when clicking on them on the Numerical Index result window, the AIPC
manual is opened, but not at the Part Number level: user has to click on "Text continue, see text below" until
reaching the correct Part Number reference

Short description Link AIRMAN-web to AirN@v not working in some cases

Description Operational Impact : User is unable to reach AirN@v Maintenance TSM from AIRMAN-web.
Description : The link from AIRMAN-web to AirN@v is not working in some cases on AirbusWorld. User cannot
open the publication directly from AIRMAN-web and has an error message.
Short description Job Card printed header is incoherent

Description Operational Impact : Displayed information is very difficult to read for customer
Description: In some cases, when print a JobCard Package, the A/C Reg information displayed in the header
contains the Engine type, which makes it very difficult to read
Short description Missing figures in AIPC Manual Front Matter

Description Operational Impact : Unable to visualize mandatory IPC information
Description: When consulting AIPC Manual Front Matter, all figures links open a "Warning image not found"
window
Short description AMM - Table not correctly displayed

Description Operational Impact : Incorrect information displayed
Description: In an AMM table, when a Note is written in a cell, the line might be wrongly displayed.
Short description Illustration seems missing while it is deleted

Description Operational Impact : The user thinks that the illustration is missing.
Description : The message "Warning: image not found" is displayed while the illustration is deleted. It should have
the message 'DELETED'.
Short description AIPC print is too slow

Description Operational Impact : User has to wait a long time before being able to retrieve its print result
Description: When printing some IPC Figures which contains a lot of hyperlink, the printing time is extremely slow
Short description Application Code discrepancy between CML and AMM tasks
Description Operational Impact : Application code discrepancy between CML and AMM tasks have been detected.

Short description Applicability display management issue on some tables

Description Operational Impact : Customers get confused with the reliability of the information displayed, and need to spend a
lot of time analysing the relevance of the information displayed
Description : On some tables, applicability is not displayed in some cases.
Short description Multiple link missing from Figure Item to Figure sheets in AIPC
Description Operational Impact : In the Detailed Part List, when clicking on a Figure Item reference which has several targets,
there is no multiple link. The target is always the first sheet.
Short description Alunqi attribute not displayed.

Description Operational Impact : The attribute alunqi of elements TASK, SUBTASK, and GRAPHIC is not displayed.
Short description Troubleshooting - ECAM search issue - Disconnected from server

Description Operational Impact : As customers are not able to consult results, they are impacted in their everyday work.
Description: Unable to consult ECAM Warnings in Troubleshooting - You get disconnected from server.
Short description Mistake on Airline revision mark

Description Operational Impact : Airline revision is identified by a green star and a vertical line, instead of a green star only.
Short description Mistake in paragraph numbering

Description Operational Impact : The numbering of paragraphs is not incremented.
Short description Applicability displayed vertically

Description Operational Impact : Applicability is displayed above the content which is confusing.
Short description Display problem on Equipment List table

Description Operational Impact : In AMM, in Equipment List table, the content of Zone column is displayed in Access Door
column.
Short description Skill Code missing on JobCard

Description Operational Impact : The content of the JobCard Package does not show OMP Skill code information at
Maintenance procedure level.
Short description Word Search robustness issue

Description Operational Impact : User is not able to find easily the expected information.
Description : Using the Word Search, an error message is randomly displayed in some searches.
