2 Added NAS Guard Logic for Improper Pair RESYNC
Phenomena During an IMPORT of the secondary volume with True Copy (TC), Shadow Image (SI), or Universal Replicator (UR) in NAS Blade, if a RESYNC performs without deleting the target file system by improper operation, the system management information in the primary and the secondary volumes and the management information in the NAS OS become inconsistent. As a result, the file system cannot be mounted. Severity (High, Medium, Low) High Conditions of Occurrence This problem occurs when all the following conditions are met. A. RAID500 (ALL versions) B. Using SI, TC, or UR in NAS Blade C. During an IMPORT of the secondary volume, perform a pair RESYNC without deleting the target file system D. After above C, a failover occurs, or the NAS OS is rebooted. Causes and Updates Improper pair RESYNC operation with SI, TC, or UR in NAS Blade The micro-programs have been modified to prevent the improper pair RESYNC operation from being performed in this case.
