Ground Data Extraction

Step 1: Goto Project Wise & Open relevant Base File [OPEN AS READ ONLY AND IN
GEOPAK]
North Bound Bridge:
pw:\\aia-pw.bentley.com:aia-pw-01\Documents\TXPROJ\TX2523-01\Dwg\DGN\Ref_Base\A_IH45
_MDBPL_NBML.dgn
South Bound Bridge
pw:\\aia-pw.bentley.com:aia-pw-01\Documents\TXPROJ\TX2523-01\Dwg\DGN\Ref_Base\A_IH45
_MDBPL_SBML.dgn

Step 2:
From Menu goto GEOPAK > ROAD > PROJECT MANAGER
Browse to Directores by pressing [..] and goto pw:\TXPROJ\TX2523-01\Dwg\GPK\
Select IH-45_DG.prj from Projects list and click OK
##You will encounter a lot of link errors regarding database connections, just press
OK and move on with the following messages
##until you see a Project Users list
Click on DG from the list and press OK.
Minimise the Road project Popup window.

Step 3:
From Menu goto GEOPAK > ROAD > PLAN PREPARATION > PLAN VIEW LABELLING
Click on the TIN File magnifying glass to select TIN FILES
There are seperate TIN Files for Exisiting Ground Profile and Proposed Ground
Profile.
[DO NOT FORGET TO SELECT OPEN AS READ ONLY]
Existing Ground TIN File:
pw:\\aia-pw.bentley.com:aia-pw-01\Documents\TXPROJ\TX2523-01\Dwg\GPK\EXIST IH45.tin
Proposed Ground TIN File:
pw:\\aia-pw.bentley.com:aia-pw-01\Documents\TXPROJ\TX2523-01\Dwg\GPK\A_IH45_CNTR.tin
Click OK after selection of the TIN File

Step 4:
Select Z Elevation TIN from Computed Text list
Click the Crosshair in Label Feature called Data Point Location and select the
center points of drilled shafts.
