The Problem and Its Background

Introduction:

The tea is a beverage which originated from Southeast Asia. It began to

popularized in China during the Tang Dynasty. Tea has a lot of health benefits. The health

benefits of tea are the following: it is an antioxidant, improves muscle endurance, prevent

heart attack, weight loss, and improves digestion. This also help to decreases the rate of

getting chronic diseases.

Taiwan leveled up tea and adds up milk and pearls. Milk Tea became popular in

90’s. It became popular not just in elderly but also in teenagers. They enjoyed the soothing

effect and the sweetness in its taste.

Ink is one of the important things that we don’t usually see the worth. Ink was first

used in China and Egypt around 2500 BC. Ink is usually made of pigments from carbon

black.

Ink has a lot of uses that we don’t usually realize. Ink is used in printer for printing

colored images and black and white images. It is also used for writing texts, and notes. It

is also used as an art supply for creating drawing, designs, and magnificent art. It is also

used in tattoo.
Background of the Study:

The researchers chose this product, ink out of tea bag, because it can lessen the

garbage and it can also save money. It can also help the community to reduce the

garbage. Instead of throwing away used pen, you can refill it using ink out of tea bags

instead of buying new pen. This product is ecofriendly and a nonchemical product.

The purpose of the product is to prove that tea has many applications not just one.

Like, when you have an excess tea that you will not use anymore, instead of disposing

you can use it as an ink.

It helps young generation to develop their ability to make things out of something

that will help them in the near future. Making ink out of tea bags is a great help for those

students that’s miserly and also for them to become more resourceful.

Many people will be encouraged to use or buy the product. The ink out of tea

bags will give a great contribution to all the students out there.

Statement of the Problem

This study aims to produce an ink in a tea bag. Specifically, it aims to answer the

following question;

1.) How long the ink that made out of tea will last rather than the other ink

products?

2.) Is the ink that made of tea would be less harmful that the other product?

3.) Would it be easy to make an ink out of the tea bag?

 4.) How would the organic ink will be different than the ink that contain

chemicals?

5.) Would the ink will be able to contribute to achieve the right consistency if it

is use on other ingredients?

Hypothesis:

The products outcome can be successful or not. The product has a lot of chances

to succeed. The researchers need the same darkness in color and the right consistency

like the other ball pens that you can buy in stores.

The researchers also conclude that if you put a vinegar it can give you the same

darkness in color. The researchers conclude also that if you add some cornstarch it will

give you the paste like consistency like the regular ink.

The product has also a chance to not succeed. The mixture of the product is too

light. The product has a watery consistency.

The product can also have a problem in the ink tube and the transferring of ink in

the paper. The ink also should be tested if the ink is spilling in the paper.

Scope and Delimitations of the Study:

Ink has a lot of types and it has also have different uses. You can only use this

product as a ball pen. Because some ink needed some chemicals that the ink of ball pens

doesn’t.
 You can’t use it as a tattoo ink because this ink will be erased immediately. It can

be easily erased by water or alcohol. You also know that ink of ball pen is not suitable for

tattoos.

Food coloring is used to color something. But food coloring is not used in this

product. Because it is not suitable for this type of product.

Crayons is also used for coloring. But crayons is not used in this product. Because

it is not suitable for this type of product.

Significance of the Study:

This study hopes to established a contribution and additional information to serve

the following individuals.

The results will provide with some knowledge, and give them some realization of

how other ink product can be toxic. At the end of this study we hope that student would

finally make or use this organic product.

The given data would help the teachers of how the students will lessen the use of

ink product. The teacher would be able to understand on how ink manufacturers affect

our planet and help the student to minimize the use of ink products.

Future researchers. The idea presented may be used as reference in conducting

new research or in testing validity or other related for using organic products. This will

also serve and give them a background.

 This study will serve as a guide for them to be familiar with the organic production.

This organic product will lead an idea on how to improve the production process of the

product by the industry

Definition of Terms:

Miserly- giving or sharing as little as possible.

Organic- grown or made without the use of artificial chemicals.

Validity- fair or reasonable.

Pigment- a substance that gives color to something else.

Chronic Disease- is a human health condition or disease that is persistent or

otherwise long lasting in its effects or a disease that comes with time.
