SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN

Content Standard:
The learner demonstrates understanding of lifestyle and weight management to promote societal
fitness.
Performance Standard:
The learner maintains an active lifestyle to influence the physical activity participation of the community
and society.

I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the student will be able to;

1. Identify the dance steps in time signature.

2. Execute the rhythmic pattern of the basic dance steps and create a routine as a form of physical
activity for self and the family.

3. Value the essence of the basic dance steps in time signature as preparatory activity in any

dances.

A. Preliminary Activities

3. Cleanliness and Orderliness
4. Drill
The learner will recall the fundamental arm and feet position.
5. Review
The teacher will ask the students about the different time signatures and their
corresponding number of beats.

B. Motivation
The teacher will let students watch a video of a dance and with follow up questions.
 What do you think is the title of the dance?
 What are the dance steps used in the dance? Do you have any idea?
 What is the time signature of the dance?
C. Developmental Activities
Activity 1.
The teacher will group the class into three groups. Each group will identify, interpret and

demonstrate the basic dance steps in time signature. They will be given 3 minutes for the

activity.

 The teacher will divide the class into 5 groups. Each group will be given 3

minutes to create their own routine using the basic dance steps in time

signature with an upbeat music.
VI. Assessment
 The students will identify the dance steps according to the step patterns and
they will write their answers in a ¼ sheet of paper.
