PASSIVE VOICE

 The passive voice is used in English when it is more convenient or interesting to

stress the thing done than the doer of it, or when the doer is unknown:

MY bag was stolen is much more usual than Thieves stow my bag

 The passive of. an active tense is formed by putting the verb TO BE Into the
same tense as the active verb and adding the past participle of the active verb:

Active: He wrote a letter.

Passive: A letter was written.

 WHERE DO I PLACE THE SUBJECTS?

We can include the subject that had the phrase in active voice, but we must pass
it to the previous end of 'by'. We see an example of a passive activated phrase.

Active: John has cleaned the house today.

Passive: The house has been cleaned (by John).

 We must bear in mind that if it is a pronoun, we must look for the corresponding
form. The so-called object pronouns are used.

Active: He has cleaned the house.

Passive: The house has been cleaned (by him).
