NICE 900 QUICK SET UP MANUAL SUITABLE FOR GENESIS AC DOOR MOTOR.

1 Connect the 220V , Single phase power supply to input terminal

(L1,L2,PE) and 3 phase Door Motor wires to drive output
terminal(U,V,W).
2 Connect the Motor Rotary Encoder to terminals (+24V, PGA,PGB,COM)
in the drive.

3 Connect Door open command Digital Input to DI5 and Door Close
Command to DI6 and Digital common to COM

Set the following parameters.

1 F000=0 ( AS LOW PPR MOTOR)

2 F001=1
3 F002=0
4 F003=50(MOTOR FREQUENCY)
5 F004=5
6 F005=0
7 F006=8
8 F007=8
9 F100=0 (AC MOTOR)
10 F101= 50( MOTOR WATTS)
11 F102= 220(PM MOTOR VOLTAGE)
12 F103= 0.58( Motor Rated Amps )
13 F104=50 (Motor Rated Freq. )
14 F105= 920( Motor Rated RPM )
15 F214= 50(Encoder PPR )

1. Set F002 =0 &Enter

2. Set F116=1&Enter( “TUNE”appears in display)
3. Press for a moment either open or close(green buttons in the keybad)
4. After some time the display becomes normal and blinks.
5. Now the tuning process is completed.
6. By pressing the open or close button, check the proper direction of rotation for open door/close
door.
6. If direction is reverse then change any two terminals of UVW in the drive output terminal connector.
7. Repeat the procedure from point no 2
7. Now keep FA 28 as 0 and move the door manually and observe the display for open or close and
confirm the direction matches with the display.
8. If it is reverse, inter change the AB Channel of encoder terminal.
9. confirm the correction direction of doors by pressing open or close button . doors should open when
pressing open and should close when pressing close.
10. Now set F6-02 AS 1000(REFERENCE)
11.Now Keep the doors fully closed manually and check if FA25 = 0(otherwise fully closed the door
manually and power off the drive and after display is off power on the drive and go to FA-25. It will
display 0). Now slowly open the door manually till it gets banged at the end. Note down the value in the
display in FA-25.
12 Now enter this value in F602.
13, Now set F0-02 =3( DEMO MODE) and press open or close button momentarily
14. If door is not opening or closing after power on at limits, reduce the ‘power on reset torque’ in F6-14
Generally F6-14=40.
15. If coupler is not fully engaged during closing, increase torque value F2-10. Also note that increasing
F2-10 will heat up the motor, it is advised to not set F2-10 more than 15.
16. Set ‘the power on reset door width learning speed’ in F0-06. Please set values in F0-06 between 5 to
7 Hz to avoid door banging.

IMPOTANT DOOR SPEED ADJUSTMENT PARAMETERS.

DOOR OPEN SETTINGS
F 301-Open door startup acceleration time-(keep this as minimum otherwise door opening full
speed reaching time will be more- ideal setting would be 1

F 303-open door frequency setting- keep this as maximum to get full door open speed(22 hz)
If you need to reduce the speed in opening of door reduce this value accordingly
F 306- open door deceleration time- Keep this minimum other wise door gets banging in the
end. If the setting value is too low then door slowdown suddenly result in jerk. hence the ideal
setting would be 2V( The default setting will be 2)

DOOR CLOSE SETTINGS

F-401- Close door startup acceleration time- ideal setting 1

F 402- Door close start low speed run time- ideal setting 1
F403-Door closing high speed setting- can be set at max 22 hz. Can be reduced according to the
site condition requirement
F404-Door closing acceleration time- ideal setting 1.1hz.
F405-Door closing end low speed setting-4 hz
F406-Door closing deceleration time-1
F407-Door closing low speed setting-2.2
F410-COUPLER Withdraw time-100 ms
F413- door closing blocked torque-50%
F414-door reopen when blocked- 3( if door stopped manually while closing, it will sense the
torque set in F413 and door opens

To reduce the deceleration point of door open high speed reduce the value in F606: ie from
96% to 80 or still less according to the requirement.

To reduce the deceleration point of door closing high speed reduce the value in F608: ie from 70
% to 65 or less according to the requirement.

After all adjustments Set F0-02 =1 for operation from the controller
command
In some controllers the door fully opened and door fully closed signals will be required . In such
cases follow the below setting
1. For close limit NO Contact use TA1&TC1 When F909=4. In this setting when doors closed
fully the contact TA1&TC1 Becomes NC
 2. For open limit NO Contact TA3&TC3 when F911=3. In this setting when doors are fully
opened the contact TA3&TC3 becomes NC

Note: ensure that at any point of time the input voltage should not exceed 300 V. In most of
the new ongoing buildings neutral line gets supply by mistake which tend to damage the drive beyond
repairable. Hence it is advisable to have isolation transformer having 2 phase 440 v primary and 230 v
secondary. The secondary 0-230 v can be connected to phase & neutral points of the drive.
