NO TECHNICAL DEVICE POLICY

1.0 RATIONALE
Due to the nature of SYKES’ business, employees regularly handle and are exposed to confidential,
classified and proprietary information which may cause serious damage to our company, clients and our
client’s customers should this be unlawfully used, disclosed or released to other parties without
authorization.

For this reason, the presence of cell phones, tablets, PCs, netbooks, digital cameras, video cameras,
recording instruments and other similar devices with data/voice recording or storage capabilities (e.g. MP3
/MP 4 Players, USB, Portable Digital Gaming Devices, multimedia storage device, photo viewer device)
may pose a threat to the interest of the company, clients and its clients’ customers. Therefore, the Company
has limited the individuals who are authorized to bring into restricted areas technical devices which are
capable of recording, transmitting, capturing or replicating such confidential information.

The No Technical Device Policy aims to:

 To protect the confidentiality of all information relating to Sykes’ business, operations, interests,
client and customer information and to prevent the unauthorized disclosure thereof.

 To secure client and customer information, and to prevent the same from being used in any
unlawful and /or fraudulent schemes or activities.

 To reinforce the principle that while employees are within the office premises his / her time
should be devoted to work related activities.

2.0 SCOPE
This policy covers all employees of Sykes Asia, Inc. (“The Company”).
Management reserves the right to prohibit the use/carrying of such devices by identified employees
within restricted areas based on specific account policies, contractual obligations and operational needs.
For purposes of this policy, “restricted area” shall be defined as 1) all Operations Floors; 2) any area where
confidential client information may be found; or 3) any area so designated by Sykes Management and/or
covered by a specific Account Policy.

3.0 POLICY GUIDELINES


3.1 All identified employees deemed unauthorized to bring technical devices into restricted areas are not
allowed to bring the following devices eg. cell phone, tablets, PCs, netbooks, cameras, USB, external hard
drive voice or video recorder, cd/dvds or any device capable of recording, capturing or storing data or
information.

3.2 It is the Account Manager/ Supervisor on duty, or in some cases, Sykes Security shall check that
employees are compliant with this policy. However, it shall be the duty of each employee to inform their
Manager/ Supervisor, even without the conduct of any inspection, if they have any such devices on their
person or in their bags or belongings. Employees caught attempting to sneak in these devices shall be
sanctioned the corresponding penalty as indicated in the Sykes Code of Conduct.

3.3 All devices brought into the office premises shall be kept in the duly designated area such as employee’s
assigned locker. Employees are enjoined to comply with all policies and guidelines that the Security Team
and/or Facilities and Admin Team may come out in relation to the proper use and storage of personal
belongings in the duly designated area.

3.4 Managers/ Supervisors and/or Security are hereby authorized to confiscate any device found within the
restricted area, to be stored in the designated secured area and will be returned to the employee only after
the end of his/her shift and with the understanding that he or she cannot return to the restricted area with
such device. Further, employee may be liable for disciplinary action as may be indicated in the Sykes Code
of Conduct.

The failure of the Team Leads or Managers to enforce the same shall be punishable under the appropriate
sections of the policy on Neglect of Duty.

3.5 Use of any such devices while in the restricted areas is also a punishable offense under this policy.
Further, any unlawful/ unauthorized recording of data, company or client/ customer information or
occurrences within the restricted area shall be in violation of this policy and may also be punishable under
the policy on Sykes confidentiality of company information.

3.6 Further, the unauthorized use, publication, copying, replication, broadcast, viewing, uploading onto
the internet and any other dissemination of any such information, data or recordings shall be treated as a
separate offense under this policy and the policy on confidentiality.

3.7 The Company reserves the right to file appropriate legal action for the protection of its interests in
relation to the violations which an employee may have committed against the company in relation to this
policy.

4.0 TABLE OF PENALTIES - based on Sykes Code of Conduct

5.0 RESERVATION CLAUSE


The Company reserves its right to amend, revise, modify, or deviate from the above procedures when
necessitated by the nature and exigencies of its business. Any change to or modification of the above
shall be made only upon written approval of the HR Head.

6.0 POLICY APPROVAL and REVIEW


This policy has been reviewed and approved for publication and release indicative of the signature
affixed herewith.
