WORKING HOUR POLICY

Introduction

This policy provides the guidelines regarding the minimum working hours an employee is supposed to work in
any working day.

Eligibility

• All employees of Presto Infosolutions Pvt. Ltd. based out of Head Office w.e.f 14th May, 2018.

Salient Features

• Every employee is required to work for a minimum of 8.5 hrs per day. It includes 30 minutes lunch
period.
• An employee can start his/her work, in the office, between 0900 hrs to 0930 hrs. and finish it
between 1730 hrs. to 1800 hrs.
• An individual marking the attendance one hour (max.) after 0930 AM, will be considered as ‘Late’.
For every three ‘late’ entries, a half day’s salary will be deducted.
• Apart from all Sundays, 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturdays will be observed as closed holidays. However, for
leave or absence, these days will be considered as one full day (not half day).
• On working Saturdays, the incoming time will remain as 0900 hrs. to 0930 hrs. and outgoing time
will be 1300 hrs. to 1330 hrs (minimum 4 hrs).
• There will not be any relaxation time on either side for this purpose.
• If an individual has some urgent work to complete on holidays, he/she has to inform the Reporting
Manager through email the purpose and duration of opening of the office to assess the urgency with a
cc to Administration. If the Reporting Manager is convinced, he will permit the individual to come to
office with a cc to Administration.
• All employees till GM level, will mark their attendance at the biometric machine at reception of the
company on reaching the office and before leaving the office.
• Preferably all business visits must be attended after arriving at office. In case there is a requirement
for business visit before office hours or if the visit location is en route office, it must be planned in
advance and intimation regarding the same must be done through HRMS Portal as OD to the
Reporting Manager well in advance and not later than 09:00 AM of the day through telephone, e-mail,
HRMS Portal or in person. However, marking of attendance after reaching office will be mandatory.
After attending the business call/visit, one must come back to office and apply on HRMS portal, if not
done already.
• Attending of business calls/ going for visits in the afternoon: An individual will go for the business
visit as assigned by the appropriate authorities. The individual will mark the attendance before leaving
the office & apply OD with timings and reason of the visit in HRMS portal. After attending the business
call/visit one has to come back to office. In circumstances one cannot come back to office in the
evening he should have applied OD in HRMS portal accordingly.
• Working late in the evening: An individual is not entitled for any monetary benefit for working beyond
working hours. For working beyond designated hours, an individual has to obtain a formal approval
from reporting in charge. One who works up to or beyond 2.5hrs after his designated closure time, is
entitled to claim dinner charges up to Rs.200/- for all categories excluding Group D employees for
whom there is a separate policy. Marking of attendance, where applicable, is mandatory for this claim.
No additional conveyance charges will be paid while going back from office on such days. However,
those who do not own vehicle will be authorized for three-wheeler charges after 10:00 PM. Personnel
working up to 10:00 PM will be entitled to come to office one hour late next morning (if next day is a
normal working day) or if beyond 10:00 PM then accordingly 1-2 hours relaxation will be given by the
Reporting Manager.
• Working on holidays: If an individual is to work on holidays to complete the job, he can do so with
prior permission from the Reporting Manager. The procedure to be followed is already explained in
the Para 2 above. No compensatory off will be entitled for working on holidays. However, an
individual will be paid to and fro charges from his/her residence as per his/her entitlement. In addition
to this, he/she will also be entitled for one meal for Rs.200/- for every four hours he/she spends in the
office for all categories excluding Group D employees for which there is a separate policy. Marking of
attendance (time in/out), where applicable, is mandatory for this claim.
• Performing the duties while on tour: An individual when assigned duties outside Delhi/NCR, will
perform the duties as expected by the company. It is the responsibility of an individual, in his/her own
interest, to inform Adm. Department regarding the details of his/her tentative program before
proceeding on tour (outstation) and get tickets booked through raising Travel request in HRMS Portal.
Post travel, put up the claim for TA/DA in the HRMS portal and link it with raised Travel request. An
individual will be entitled for one day compensatory off for every fifteen consecutive day’s outstation
duty subject to a max. of three days.

Note: All claims for late sittings and working on holidays must be forwarded to Finance department along with
the Reporting Manager approval on HRMS portal along with Time & Time Out.
