Auto-disable AD syringes and Safety Boxes price data

In 1999 with the goal of preventing the transfer of blood-borne diseases, World Health Organization (WHO), UNICEF and United Nations Population Fund
(UNFPA) developed a policy on injection safety. The policy was designed to sensitise the market to a shift toward safer injection devices with the goal of
phasing out the use of non-AD syringes and syringe sterilisation by 2003. UNICEF has fully endorsed and implemented the use of Auto-Disable Syringes in
Immunization Services. In addition to this joint policy on injection safety, UNICEF also bases its supply on a bundling policy. The principle of this is that for
each vaccine dose, sufficient numbers of AD syringes, reconstitution syringes and safety boxes must be ensured. In line with our commitment to improve
transparency around the procurement of essential supplies UNICEF is publishing current AD syringes and Safety Boxes prices. UNICEF exclusively procures
AD syringes and Safety Boxes that are WHO pre-qualified and meets (PQS) standard. The data below covers the current LTAs calendar period.
