informed decisions about your topic?
- We can use probability and statistics as a help in this topic by
using its capabilities like in statistics, you can use the graphs in
clear informations. Its help is widely use all over the world since
statistics help can be also used in showing the sales of a
company. And in this topic, we will show its clear help in a given
situation/problem.

How can we apply probability and statistics in real-life

problems?
- There are 100 girls and 150 boys who are professional athletes
in Hell University. The school committee wants to choose 2
athletes for their representatives in a convention program
involving sports for 2 weeks. The Sports Club allowed it
although, they had a hard time in showing clear reports on the
daily number of present athletes everyday since its needed.
Absent, injured, or any reason it is. Find the probability of
getting a boy and a girl for their representative.
In the given problem above, we have two problems to
solve.
¡. What is the probability of getting a boy and a girl as their
representative?
- We can answer it by Independent and Dependent Probability.
Solution:
A = the probability of getting a boy
B = the probability of getting a girl
Since, P(A) =Type equation here. 1Since, P(A)= 150 or 3 and,

P(B)= 100

P(A and B)= P(A) P(B)
= 3/5 (100/249)
= 300/ 1245 or
= 20

Therefore, the probability of getting a boy and a girl over 250
professional athletes is 20/83.
¡¡. How can the Sports Club have a clear report on the daily number
of athletes everyday?
- Through the help of statistics, they can use graphs( bar graphs)
here for formal reports like the number of their athletes
everyday. They can put legend to the out athletes if ever he’s
injured or anything. This also helps the club to see if there’s
improvement to the athletes. The graph makes life easy
 because without reading the narrative report, you can actually
read it by just analyzing the graph.

Strategies on how to inform and convince others about

the situation.
- After we thought of solutions in this problem, we also thought
of on how can this solution be informed by the others. We can
inform and convince others in using the said solution by
conducting a symposium on how probability and statistics helps
on having a informed decision. The uses of it, its benefits, and
how to apply it in real-life situation. Besides, we really need to
tell about it because, their cooperation is needed when it
comes to monitoring their daily activities as an athlete and if
ever they are out, their reason of being out it is.

Reflection and insights which contain critical analysis.

- While we are doing this research, the problems and solutions
who came up with our minds are really many. And after we
finished it, we’ve came up with the idea that Statistics and
Probability have many uses. It is very useful to office reports
since we use them in daily reports, grades, tallies, etc. It makes
our life easier.
