INTRODUCTION TO THE COURSE

Communication influences all factors of our life. From daily interactions to the way you present yourself in the board
room. The way we communication is reflection of who we are and the way we establish relationships with those
around us. Although there are many facets of communication, there are a few basic fundamentals that span across
the nations and around the globe. By understanding the way, we communicate and increasing our knowledge of
conflict resolution, we can increase the probability of success.

Keeping in view the role of a manager in corporate and the importance of communication for managerial success, the
course Workshop of Communication Skills (WCS) has been designed. It is a skill-oriented course, which focuses on
developing verbal communication skills of the participants.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

 Enhance existing knowledge and communication skills


 Understand various factors influencing the choice of a communication style
 Choosing the appropriate ‘quality’, ‘quantity’, ‘relevance’, and ‘manner’ of communication
 Deliver ‘high-impact’ communication with ‘internal’ and ‘external’ stakeholders
TEACHING METHOD

Participants facilitated through lectures, discussions, case-analysis, role-plays, individual- and group-
activities. Cases describing real managerial situations, which call for detailed analyses and decisions that
can be implemented, provide the basis for exercises.
