TROUBLESHOOTING
(A) Motor does not rotate when you set main switch lever at lion"

( 1) Check batteries (condition/polarity)

*Change batteries with new ones.
*Correct polarities.

(2) Check all of energy level indicaters; at least one indicator must be on for the unit to operate.
*Set a reset dial to start position.

(3) Check switch terminals (B 11 & B 12) to see whether they contact each other. (These switches must
be separated completely when the main lever is set at off.)

(4) Check energy meter terminals (B 16 & B 17) to see whether they conj:act each other when energy
meter unit (818) is reset. (If alf energy level indicaters are black, the energy meter terminals must be
separated completely.)

(5) Check the soldered wires to see whether they came off due to the corrosion or rust.

(B) The movement does not stop when you let go of the control lever.

Check joystick spring 0.3t (GB) at the bottom of central parts (G3 to G5).

(C) The movement and speed do not function smoothly when you operate the control lever.

( 1) Check the motor to see whether it is rotating or not.

(2) Check the claw of drum changer shaft unit (A2) for damage. If it is broken, change it.

(3) Check each shaft of the drum lubricate if it does not move smoothly.

(4) Check clutch of each shaft for failure when each part listed below does not function smoothly.

a. Entire arm does not rotate.

Check the arm rotating gearass'y (G21).1f the clutch has a damage, change it.
b. . Entire arm does not move up and down.
Check the abrasion of rubber packing and the failure of clutch at the shoulder up/down gear ass'y
(C5). If there is a damage, change it.
c. EI bow does not rotate.
Check the failure and crack of elbow gear ass'y (S14).1f there is a damage, change it.
d.
.
Hand does not move up and down .
Check the failure and crack of clutch at the wrist up/down gear ass'y (A6). If it is damaged, change it.
e. Hand does not rotate.
Check the failure and crack of clutch at the hand rotating gear ass'y (AS). If it is damaged; change it.
f. Finger does not open or pinch.
Check the failure and crack of finger open/pinch gear ass'y (H3). If it is damaged, change it.
(Check only when the finger does not function even if you operate it toward one direction for some
while. The unit is designed so the movement of fihger is slow for safety.).

-13-
If there is no clutch failure, check each system of working shaft, in particular, the connection between
shafts and nylon pinion gear (AS, S5, C6 to C9 and G23). If sliding, the connection should be reformed
so it won't slide or replaced. (See the attached system diagram for shaft.)

(D) Some shafts make a noisy sound when you operate the control lever.
Check and lubricate the shaft of control lever.

(E) Finger could not grip the same weight as before.

Check finger torsion spring (F4).
If the spring is weak, change it.
Finger could not lift the same weight as before.
Check (C)-4-b and d.

Note:
