As perceived by the respondents, the following factors: increase
in population growth, business/work opportunities and Filipino
values/culture have significant bearing to the increase in the
number of housing projects.
Recommendations:
Developers should also explore on strategies that will minimize the use of
natural resources, toxic materials and emission of waste and pollutants caused
by land transformation due to construction.

Homeowners should also minimize the use of energy and observe proper
waste disposal system.
Educators, curriculum designers, and teachers should design instructional materials
that will educate the young generation on the positive and negative effects of
urbanization.

Similar studies may be conducted to further establish the impact of
housing projects on urban development. Moreover, further studies may
be conducted, exploring other factors that may significantly contribute to
housing projects.
