1)In modest understandable style, assess the leadership abilities demonstrated by President
Rodrigo Roa Duterte. Can you consider him as a good leader based on the 21 indispensable
qualities of a leader?
No, I don’t consider him as a good leader. He may have some of the qualities
but a good leader must possess majority of the qualities. Our President, for
me, only possess focus, initiative, and vision. Our President lacks a lot of
qualities. For example, he lacks listening. He doesn’t listen to his people. As
far as I can see, he only listens to the people who he thinks will follow him.
He also lacks courage. He can’t face his fears thoroughly such as when VP
Robredo were to solve the drug war.

2.) After reading the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People by Covey, as a student,
kindly cite your commitment to act on the 7 habits.
 Be proactive – choosing to attend a class even though I have, other
requirements to finish. It is my responsibility to finish what I have chosen.
 Begin with the end in mind – visualizing the success before it happens so
that it will be the set for myself.
 Put things first – I prioritize my studies before anything else. But when it is
time to rest, I rest because resting or relaxing your mind will help yourself
study efficiently.
 Think win-win – in making a decision for a group I must always consider if
it he favorable to the other party. I should be selfish and consider only myself.
 Seek first to understand then to be understood – before stating my stand,
I should be able to see myself in their shoes. I must know what it’s like to be
in their life. In being able to understand their situation, I am now capable in
being able to respond correctly.
 Synergize – I should never be afraid to ask for help. Things will get
accomplished a lot easier when people work together.
 Sharpen the saw – we must always be updated on what we have earned
during our time because as time goes by things will start to change, and if we
don’t start updating ourselves in a current issue, we are not going to be able
to contribute in the society.
