Vision:

We envision a community where everyone has access to good quality,

nutritious food, understands the consequences of hunger and poor nutrition and
is committed to creating a stronger, healthier Humboldt County.

Goals:

Our “feeding program” is to improve the health of our children by providing

palatable and nutritious foods while enhancing their nutrition education

Objectives:

 To improve the nutritional health of the student

 To provide an estimate of the nutritional requirements of children with moderate
malnutrition, examining wasted and stunted children separately.
 To formulate recommendations to improve the dietary management of moderate
malnutrition. .

Program Rationale:

Environmental Program:

Before proceeding with the project, we will first coordinate with the barangay
officials assigned in Barangay San Antionio. We will hand them a formal letter of
approval and a complete copy of our project proposal. While waiting for their approval,
we will buy the materials needed for the project such us the plant seedling, coconut
shell (will act as planting pot), fertilizer and painting materials. The program is set to
happen at the SK Office in Maria Susafe St. Valley 1, Barangay San Antonio and the
program will be announced ahead of time. Our target would be 25-30 child participants
aged 6 to 10 years old. Each child will be provided a coconut shell, soil, water, plant
seedling, plastic gloves and painting materials. The program will also act as a contest
where the kid with most artistic coconut shell will win a special prize. This will encourage
the children to do their best and to bring out their creativity. At the end of the program
each child will be given some snacks and compensation prizes for a job well done.

Program Beneficiaries:

The beneficiary of this program would be the children who participated in the
program and the citizens of the San Antonio Valley 1. Through this program we will be
able to teach the children the importance of planting in a fun and exciting way. They will
also learn to be aware of their environment. By seeing the children becoming
responsible for their surroundings the citizens will be tempted to do the same.

Program Partners:

In implementing the tree planting program, we need all the help we could get to
make this program possible. We specifically chose the SK or Sangguniang Kabataan
together with the Youth Organization to help us with this program because we believe in
the saying "The more the merrier." If the SK members would participate in this program
it will more be enjoyable and the job can be done easier. Also with the help of the
Sangguniang Kabataan, they have the authority that can influence anyone to be one of
our participants.
