WRITTEN WORKS AND PERFORMANCE TASK(VOICE TAPE)
a) Are the economic benefits of having an OFW family member worth the hardship of
being separated from them for extended periods of time?
 For me yes because the money that an OFW send to his/her family is
converted to our money which will benefit our foreign exchange
currency.So the OFW is also contributing to our economy.

b) If you grew up in a household with an OFW family member,who was the chosen
relative who shaped your children years?
 It is depends on who will be the one to go abroad like to my own
experience that my father is an OFW so my mother is the that shaped me in
years passed by.But in others case the mother or sometimes both parents
is a OFW so the relatives is the one will shaped the children years like
Auntie,Uncle,Lola,Lolo and other relatives.

c) What important values did you learn from the relative who raise you?
 The values that I learn,first is give value to the things I have because the
things that I have today is not just get in the mall or you can get in
sidewalk but it is from buying it and the money that use it to buy is not
just get where you can see but it is from hardwork blood sweat and
tears is poured to it to earn,Second is to be thankful always to GOD on
whats everyday is happening to us for giving us blessings everyday for
protecting us from evil and be contented to the things I have.

d) What aspect of your life reflects his or her influence?Expound on your answer.
 I think that aspect is having having a good health,good education and good/high
income.Because everyone is targeting that aspect like OFWs.The OFWs is sacrificing
just to give the good aspects to his family like what I have mentioned.

e) Write the meaning of plot,exposition,complication,rising action,climax and

denouement.
 PLOT-the main events of a play,novel,movie,or similar work,devised and
presented by the writer as an interrelated sequence.

 EXPOSITION-is a literary device used to introduce background information

about events,settings,characters,or other elements of a work to the
audience or readers.

 COMPLICATION-as a literary term is that it is a series of problems or

difficulties that make up the main action of a piece of literature.

 RISING ACTION-is a series of relevant incidents that create

suspense,interest,and tension in a narrative.In literary works,a rising
action includes all decisions,characters’flaws,and background
circumstances.
 CLIMAX-turning point of a narrative work is its point of highest tension
and drama,or it is the time when the action starts during which the
solution is given.

 DENOUEMENT-is the final outcome of the story,generally occurring after

the climax of the plot.Often it’s where all the secrets(if there are any)
are revealed and loose ends are tied up.

f) Make a character sketch of the following:

 DANTE-he is a lovable niece to his uncle and auntie.He is excellent in
mathematics since elementary.He was very sad that time when he knew
the truth about his uncle’s death.

 ANGKEL ATO-he is a lovable,loyal at faithful husbad to his wife

Magdalena.He is a responsible father and husband to his family.He
sacrifice their own land just to for her wife for going abroad as a
domestic helper.He suffer depression and stress because he knew that
his wife is being abuse rsulting to him to commit suicide.

 NANANG-she is the mother of the protagonist(DANTE) in the story.She is

supportive to his son Dante.She felt sadness when they found the voice
tape of RENATO”ATO” and found out the truth about his death.

 ANGKEL ATO’S WIFE-her name is MAGDALENA,a loyal,lovable,and faithful

wife and mother to his family.She sacrifice being apart to her family just
to provide support to her family.She was being abused in adroad and
resulting to her to be depress and stress.She send letter or voicemail to
ATO so he will knew whats happening to her in abroad.Then she commited
suicide resulting to ato to be sad and depress badly.

g) Identify the prediction that they made in the story that eventually did not happen.
 The first prediction is when Dante is worried when there’s an accident
that when his besfriend boying is involved or dead but he’s wrong
because the one who died is his uncle Ato.So this what I notice prediction
in the story.PREDICTION IS REAL .

h) Write the instances when the author built up tension in the story.
 It will bring intense emotion or sadness that will affect to the
readers.It will be a full tragedy or it will more attract readers.And
last when the author built up tension it will make the story more
interesting to be read.
