"What we do flows from who we are ³- Paul Vitale.
There are many of parts to my personality, and it is hard to narrow such a complex structure down to few traits.
I would like to think of myself as unique individual. I think that following qualities can best sum up me in short

Good Listener: - Somebody pointed out the fact that we have two ears, but only one mouth. I believe we must
set aside our love for hearing our own voice and listen to others. It prevents reticent thinkers from contributing
ideas to take the team effort forward, which in turn impairs the team-performance. I found this the most useful
habit. Listening is the conduit of not mere information and thought; it is the conduit to the true feelings of the
speakers. It makes you more approachable and helps to understand the thought process of a person. Many of my
friends approach for my suggestions I help them to figure out the details they might have missed. More
examples needed « Kind of sounds like a paragraph from a book which is promoting listening as a habit «
Where is your experience «. What will stop me from copying and pasting it in my essay ?

Passionate: - Passion is not necessarily going to guarantee you succeed success, however it
makes life a lot easier for you by pushing you constantly to achieve the desired goals. It
keeps you motivated to face new challenges and helps in dealing with them successfully. One
particular example which I can recall from my school days was to improve my English. I
studied in vernacular medium till sixth standard. After that our family moved to Raigad ,India
and I moved into an English medium school. This transition was difficult for me , although I
was good at maths and science I was not able to handle English. I decided to work hard to
improve both written and spoken English forms. I started reading newspapers and eventually
graduated to reading novels. I also watched lots of English shows to improve my diction.
There were times when people laughed at me but still I kept my cool and decided to continue
with my perseverance. Eventually I took part in extempore competitions in my tenth and
eleventh standard winning third prize in both .This boosted my confidence and I became a
debate co-ordinator of my school. I realized that there were many cases like me who were
struggling with English .Identifying that , I organized debates for my juniors and encouraged
them to speak and voice their opinion .It was learning exercise for me also as it improved my
listening and analytical skills.

Creative :- I believe creativity helps you to showcase your idea in a different way.
I wrote few scripts and directed few plays during my college days. One recent example I can
recall was directed a play that showed the

We shifhtedshifted to Mumbai MyMumbai My grades in English were nothing to talk about.

Although I was good at maths and science I was not able to appear in top three ranks in class.
Identifying this I decided to work hard in English ,English, throughout this period of hard
work my passion to conquer this last hurdle which stood between me and merit rank kept me
going. Eventually through my desire to succeed and passion for striving for excellence
helped me to secure third rank in 12th standard. Even subjects you¶re not interested in. I¶m not a big
fan of history, for example ± being more of an engineer myself. But I¶m intrigued by it, and know that because I
am passionate about succeeding at anything I put my mind to it. On the other hand, I love photography. I find it
engaging and relaxing because I don¶t have to think (could land you in trouble in an interview « especially
when you say that you do not have to think much about it « How are you passionate if you do not have to think
much ? ) much about it. I shoot lot of pictures and try to improve upon the last shot taken by me. I am never
satisfied I keep on going with that .I lose the sense of time. I put my passion into every work I am in, and always
try to aim for higher goals.

My passion and open-mindedness, makes me suitable for AIM's community. I will be valuable to others in the
MBA Program as a skilled listener, as a sounding board for their ideas; as a silent processor of their thoughts to
refine and re-mould them for better effect. I also bring with me a different culture and different values. Being
from a country which is known for its diverse ethnic groups, cultures and traditions enables me to add a touch of
difference and to share various interesting cultural practices.
