“AIDS can never be AIDED”

Nowadays, all over the world, epidemics are increasing day by day. Some of them are
worldwide epidemic and some of them are restricted to certain geographical area called national
epidemic. One of those epidemics is HIV/ AIDS. This virus has killed so many people that it is
considered by many to be a pandemic. This disease has devastated places like the North America,
Africa, Latin America, and parts of Asia. The reason that the disease has devastated so many
people is because of a lack of knowledge and education on how to deal with the disease. And
because many high ranking politicians and other people try to downplay it severity. Others do it
because of ignorance and curiosity. For these reasons the disease has had such a crushing effect
on many countries.
AIDS is widespread around the world. It is a disease that develops when one person has
had sexual intercourse with multiple people with STD or STI. STI can be identified when a person
has the symptoms of an infected individual. AIDS is caused by virus called HIV which attacks
the immune system making the person more vulnerable to diseases and infection. It can be said
that HIV/AIDS has done more harm than good in terms of the lives it has taken. HIV is spread
primarily by unprotected sex, contaminated blood transfusions, hypodermic needles, and from
mother to child during pregnancy, delivery, or breastfeeding. Some bodily fluids, such as saliva
and tears, do not transmit HIV. As it is transmitted, many people will get highly infected. But
who’s to blame? Is it the victim of the infection or the carrier of the disease? As it is transmitted,
many people will get highly infected. AIDS/HIV is transmitted when a HIV carrier has had sexual
intercourse, when the HIV carrier is a mother to a child during pregnancy, or breastfeeding. HIV
carries are to be blamed because they know the fact that they are infected with that disease and
yet they still do the acts that transmit the disease to a lot of uninfected and innocent people. And
also they are to be blamed because several people who have HIV already, haven’t known that
they carry the disease and continue to do the acts. They tend to believe they are "invincible" and
therefore engage in risky behaviors. Because of this belief they also may delay HIV testing, and,
if they do test and are positive, they may delay or refuse treatment.
The HIV infection, in addition to all the insecurity, anxiety, and fear of discrimination
derived from sex-based distinction, has led people to avoid disclosing their HIV status to anyone
but their family, a globally observed phenomenon. AIDS cannot be treated nor cured. Once it
develops and forms, it cannot be eliminated. There is currently no cure or effective HIV vaccine.
Treatment consists of highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART) which slows progression of
the disease. Also, the discipline. If we could discipline ourselves from having sexual intercourse
with multiple partners, we could reduce the HIV cases and help eliminate problems in the world.
