2019 Regionol Finols Metrobonk-MTAP-DepEd Moih Chollenge qt Lolaon Cenirol
School, Loloon 2, Silong. Covite on Februory 28 fo Morch 1,2019.

2. The overoll objeciive of the competition is to contribute in improving the quolity of

Mothemolics Educotion in the Philippines. Specificolly, it oims to

owoken greoler interest in Mothemotics omong elementory ond high school

leorners in both leorners in boih public ond privote schools in the region;
b. encouroge the leorners to strive for excellence in Mothemotics;
c. discover mothemqticol tolents omong the leorners; ond
d. develop ihe volues of hordwork, perseveronce, honesty, teomwork. ond
sporhmonship.

3. The host Division sholl be in-chorge of ihe preporotion of the venue of the contest
proper including the regiskotion. contesi officiols ond the moieriols thot will be used
in the contest such os score sheet {hord ond soft copy}, score boord, compuiers,
LCD/DLP, screen, (stop) wolch ond scroich poper of the contestonts.

4. The competition is open to Grodes 5 ond 6 pupils ond Grades 9 ond l0 students for
individuol ond teom cotegory. Grode 6 ond Grode l0 winnen in the Regionol Finols
moy porticipote in the Notionollevel.

eoch teom. Scrotch poper will be provided.

3. The quizmosier will reod eoch question lwice. The time storts when the
quizmosier gives the GO signol.
4. Answer will be wriiten on the officiol onswer slips provided. As soon os the
buzzer rings, everybody musi stop writing.
5. Proctors will collect the onswer slips ond give them bock to the judges who
clossify them in io two seis: ihose with conect onswers ond those with inconect
onswers.
6. One of the judges will onnounce the teoms with the conect onswer. The
scorers record the points obtoined by eoch teom for ecch conect onswer.
7. Answer must be given indicoiing unit of meosurement. However, if the unit of
meosurement is olrecdy given in ihe question, ii need not be given in the
onswer.
B. The teoms will be ronked occording to their totol score in ihe ihree ports to
determine the winners.
?. ln cose of o tie omong ihe teoms vying for the first three (3) ploces, o sei of 3
quesiions will be given to breok the tie, one question from eoch cofegory. lf
the tie is not broken ofter the three questions, one tie-breoking question will be
given. The teom who first geis the conect onswerwill be declored os winner.
