TRAINING AND OTHER PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. PROJECT TITLE:

Basic Accounting and Bookkeeping Seminar

III. PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Monreal is a fourth class municipality striving to develop its business industry, by


providing all means of assistance to its growing business community. Currently, there are
311 registered business establishments in the municipality that needs the assistance of
DTI through conduct of trainings.

External and internal problems are common to MSME’s specially in managing


finances and securing records of financial transactions, these areas if not managed can
affect the entire business operation which may lead to closure due to bankruptcy. As this
dilemma greatly affects them, Negosyo Center Monreal intends to conduct Basic of
Accounting and Bookkeeping Seminar to help MSME’s in managing their accounts.

This activity will also help MSME’s to arrive in better financial decision in the
future due to the availability of financial records.

IV. OBJECTIVES
General:

This activity aims to provide knowledge to MSME’s on securing the efficiency of the
business operation specifically:
1. To equipped MSMEs on the basics of accounting and bookkeeping.
2. To transfer knowledge on formulas in financial management.
3. To sustain the agency’s commitments to our PWDS’s, SCs, Women, OFWs, Youth, and IPs.

V. TARGET BENEFICIARIES

The target beneficiaries of this activity is the 25 identified existing MSME’s of Poblacion, Monreal,
Masbate.

VI. STRATEGY/IMPLEMENTATION SCHEME


 Conduct of lecture on the basics of accounting and bookkeeping
 Training workshop will follow after the lecture, to simulate the application of accounting in an
enterprise.
 Open Forum to address queries from the participants

VII. OUTPUTS AND OUTCOMES

Conduct 1 Entrepreneurial Training on the Basic of Accounting and Bookkeeping to 25 beneficiaries.
