Topic: Rules and Regulation for Societics and Clubs under UETP

The meeting was heid in the office of the Dean Faculty of MCiN4E. The important issues

discussed were as follows:

l. A Department can start try having one fechnical Society aligned with the Department
subjects. For more thal one serciety the new society will have to clarify how its aims and
objectives are diflcr:ent h'orn the eariier one.
2. The Depar-tmental Socie ty needs to focus on the Technical aspects of the Society.
3. The University Oriented Socicties will need permission from the Vice Chancellor to be
recognized by the r"rniversity.
4' Any Society can only get a funding of lts.50,000 for a single event in an academic
calendar. 'Ihey rvill be allou,ed to concluct two more events without funding frorn

University.
5, The Socielies iI'bringing anyone liom other domains (Scholars, or Motivational

Speal<ers) need to coordinate rvith all off-rces involved i.e. l)ean, Registrar, Chief Proctor,
and Vice Chancellor Office.

6. No Society rvill be allorved to operate under a political agenda and display political logos.
7 . An}, member of a society, if found holding an oftice of a political party will lead to
cancellation of registration ol'societ), with UETP.
8. University resorves the right to improve these rules and regulations from time to time.
