1. Telegram

Telegraph is a machine / tool that uses telegraphic technology to send and receive messages
remotely, usually using Morse as a communication code. The word "telegraph" which is often
heard today, is generally an electric telegraph. The telegraph was created by an American
named Samuel F.B. Morse was with his assistant Alexander Bain.

Samuel Morse designed this tool by using electricity to send coded messages through wires.
Morse immediately demonstrated his tool to the public, patenting and convincing the United
States Congress of its findings. He said, this discovery would be able to help and facilitate
communication in the US. Shortly after, Samuel Morse obtained an official patent for his
revolutionary discovery today 175 years ago, precisely June 20, 1844.

His genius could produce the first prototype of a telegraph. Together with his friends
Leonard Gale and Alfred Vail, he demonstrated his discovery using Morse code, where dots
and lines replace letters and numbers.

This is the first step in the development of the telegraph. When Morse returned to the
United States, this discovery was well received. People want information that is faster and
easier, while this use must be accompanied by an integrated telegraph station system.

In 1851, the New York and Mississippi Valley Telegraph Printing Companies were
established to service the telegraph system. To increase coverage, the two companies changed
their name to Western Union and completed their tracks throughout the United States. The
company also provides about 32,186 kilometers of cable to support telegraph access.

The company also tried to develop cables to be used across the Atlantic Ocean in the 1860s.
After this success, the use of telegraphs is increasingly widespread and reaching various
countries. By the end of the 19th century, this technology had already reached Africa, Asia
and Australia. Telegraph became a popular long-distance communication tool especially in
the 1920s to 1930s, both for civilian and military purposes. During World War II, the
telegraph delivery officers from Western Union became frightening. This usually brings them
bad news from the battlefield.

2. Handphone

Cellphone or cell phone (abbreviated as cellphone) or cellphone (abbreviated as HP) is an

electronic telecommunications device that has the same basic capabilities as a conventional
fixed line telephone, but can be carried anywhere (English: portable or mobile) and does not
need to be connected with telephone networks using cables (wireless communication,
English: wireless communication). At present, Indonesia has two wireless telephone networks
namely the GSM (Global System for Mobile Telecommunications) system and the CDMA
(Code Division Multiple Access) system. The body that regulates Indonesian cellular
telecommunications is the Indonesian Cellular Telecommunications Association (ATSI).

The invention with the name "Radio Telephone System" was then submitted on October 17,
1973 to be patented with patent number 3906166 which was then approved in September
1975 on their behalf. Martin Cooper is considered to be the first inventor of a cell phone or
mobile phone and the first person to make the first cell phone call on April 3, 1973 using a
prototype cellular cell phone.

The historic event was witnessed in public in front of reporters and people passing by on the
streets of New York. The first call was addressed to Dr. Joel S. Engel, head of research at
Bell Labs. And the first sentence said is "Joel, I 'm calling you from a' real 'cellular telephone.
A portable handheld telephone. "

The first call is an initial marker of the beginning of a fundamental shift in technology and
the communications market towards portable telephone communication where one can
directly communicate directly with others, no longer as before where the intended destination
was a place like a landline.

3. Internet

The internet is a global computer network that can be opened by computers and connected
to one computer to another in the World. I got wikipedia the formation of the internet or was
first conceived by the United States Department of Defense in 1969. Through the ARPA
project called ARPANET (Advanced Research Project Agency Network), where they
demonstrated how with unix-based computer hardware and software, we can work on
communication in an infinite distance over the Telephone line.

Leonard Kleinrock is known as the father / father of the Internet and is again said to be the
inventor of the internet itself. Born in New York City, New York, United States, June 13,
1934. Need I say actually not just Leonard who has a big complainer as the inventor of the
internet there are still some names that according to the author deserve to be known, but
Leonard's plan has a more excellent design compared to others.

A matter of recording notes explaining that social relations can be handled also through a
matter of computer networks is in the memo series written by J.C.R. Licklider from MIT
(Massachusetts Institute of Technology) in bln. August th. 1962. when the memo was
outlined the idea of the galactic network. he has a vision of a global computer network that
deals with each other where everyone can access data and programs quickly from any area.
The spirit of the idea is very suitable like the internet that exists today.

Recently. Licklider was the first leader in computer program research from the darpa
project, 4 which began a month ago. October 1962. While in Darpa he worked together with
Ivan Sutherland, Bob Taylor, and an MIT researcher, Lawrence G. Roberts. Leonard
Kleinrock at MIT published his note entitled The First Paper on Packet Switching Theory in
the month. July 1961 and The First Book on The Subject in th. 1964. Kleinrock agrees with
Roberts in the theory that they pay close attention to. Get information about every person
who has a fair share in the world of the Internet on paper at that time.
