Think, pair, share.

School is the place where most people get their fundamental scientific and moral training.
Using the following notes, write a composition of about 100 words in which you explain how important
school is.

 Provides knowledge in various subjects.

 Learn / Respect time / acquire discipline.
 Learn to cope with different people.
 Have big dreams.

Follow these steps:

 What to write? Make it clear in your mind. I am going to write a letter / paragraph / a speech / an
article… about the causes of … / the consequences of … / etc …

 Read the notes carefully. Then, take the notes one by one. Transform each note into a simple sentence.
Add a subject / conjugate the verb / add an object …etc…

 Try to check your sentence for errors before moving on to the next note. Check word order, verb tense
and form, word spelling, …etc…

 How can I make my sentences longer? You can add more words. Adjectives before nouns, adverbs after
verbs and give examples.

 When you finish this step, it’s time to think of linking your sentences. Select link words that express the
logical connection between your ideas.

 Now, it’s time for you to write a first draft. While writing your draft, keep looking for possible errors.

 When you think to yourself: this is the best I can do! Now, you can write the final version of your
composition. Here, you need to mind handwriting and punctuation.
