a)Yes. Supervision of protection system installed at
the substation.
b) Manual as well as the emergency testing of
installed protection. Also replaced the defective
relays and the commissioning of new relays at the
substation.
c) Yes. I have knowledge about the working
principles of the protection installed at the
substation.
d) I have been testing the transmission protection
relays for 3.5 years. These relays include
SIEMENS, GEC (Static relays), GEC ALSTHOM
(Numerical), GE, MiCOM, SEL and BBC relays.
e) It is my responsibility at my substation to carry out
detailed testing of all the protections installed on
Annual basis or as per SOP. I also Supervised
some testing on C. Bs i.e. timing tests, contact
resistance tests.
f) Yes. Test results compilation and generating a
report and presenting it to the higher officers is a
part of my duty here. We Generate a report after
every testing and also on weekly, monthly and
annual basis
