PROCESSIONAL MARCH

INTRODUCTION

COMMENTATOR: True Love is a gift that goes beyond the imperfections of this world.
It is from God, and we need to live in love to glorify Him for this precious
gift. Today, brothers and sisters, we will become witnesses, as REYMOND
and JUNNA LANE bind themselves in Holy Matrimony to seal their true
love with the blessings of God. Let us accompany them with our prayers as
they start their journey in a new lifestyle and a new vocation. Let us begin
the celebration.

Please stand as we sing our entrance hymn.

ÌNTRODUCTORY RITES
PRIEST: In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

ALL: Amen.

PRIEST: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the Love of God, and the
communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

ALL: And with your spirit.

PRIEST: Dearly beloved, REYMOND and JUNNA LANE, God is love and has, in
a mysterious way drawn you together in love. But He leaves you free to
make that love grow or to let it wither and die. The Lord will help you
make it grow if you do your share and stand to the commitment in the
covenant which you are about to seal.

PENETENTIAL ACT
PRIEST: Brethren (Brothers and Sisters), let us acknowledge our sins, and so
prepare ourselves to celebrate the sacred mysteries.

A brief silence pause for silence follows. Then all recite together the formula of general
confession.

ALL: I confess to Almighty God and to you, my brothers and sisters, that I have
greatly sinned in my thoughts and in my words, in what I have done and in
what I have failed to do, through my fault, through my fault, through my

most grievous fault; therefore I ask blessed Mary ever-Virgin, all the Angels
and Saints, and you, my brothers and sisters, to pray for me to the Lord our
God.

PRIEST: May Almighty God have mercy on us, forgive us our sins and bring us
to everlasting life.

ALL: Amen.

Kyrie (to be sung)

PRIEST: Glory to God in the Highest

Gloria (to be sung)

COLLECT

PRIEST: Be attentive to our prayers, O Lord, and in your kindness pour out your
grace on these your servants REYMOND and JUNNA LANE, that,
coming together before your altar, they may be confirmed in love for one
another. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns
with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

ALL: Amen.

COMMENTATOR: Please be seated for the Liturgy of the Word.

LITURGY OF THE WORD

FIRST READING - Keven Jay Dinapo

A Reading from the Book of Genesiś. (Genesiś 2:18-24)

The Lord God said: “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make
a suitable partner for him.”
So the Lord God formed out of the ground various wild animals and
various birds, in the air, and He brought them to the man to see what he would
call them: whatever the man called each of them would be its name. The man
gave names to all cattle, all the birds of the air, and all the wild animals, but

2 | EDU & OLARIO NUPTIAL

none proved to be the suitable partner for the man. So the Lord God cast a
deep sleep on the man and while he was asleep, he took one of his ribs and
closed up its place with flesh. The Lord God then build up into a woman the
rib that He had taken from the man. When He brought her to the man, the
man said: “This one, at last, is bone of my bones and flesh from my flesh: This
one shall be called “woman,” for out of “her man” this one has been taken.”
That is why two of them become one body.

The Word of the Lord.

ALL: Thanks be to God.

RESPONSORIAL PSALM – James Michael P. Echano

(R) Taste and see the goodness of the Lord!

My soul glories in God. Let the humble hear and rejoice.

Proclaim the greatness of God, and together extol His name. (R)

I seek Him and He answers. He frees me from my fears.

Every face turned to Him grows brighter, and is never ever ashamed. (R)

A cry goes up from the poor man: God hears and eases his pain
His angels settle around them who fear Him and He keeps them safe. (R)

SECOND READING – Rey C. Gantalao

A Reading from the first letter of Paul to the Ephesians. (Ephesians 5:21-32)

Beloved, be subordinate to one another out of reverence for Christ. Wives

should be subordinates to their husband as to the Lord. For the husband is the
head of his wife just as Christ is the head of the Church, he himself the savior
of the body. As the Church is subordinate to Christ, so wives should be
subordinate to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even
as Christ love the Church and handed Himself over for her. Husbands should
love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. For
this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife,
and the two shall become one flesh. This is a great mystery, but I speak in
reference to Christ and the Church.

The Word of the Lord.

3 | EDU & OLARIO NUPTIAL

ALL: Thanks be to God.

COMMENTATOR: Please all stand to honor the Holy Gospel.

Gospel Acclamation (to be sung)

GOSPEL READING (MATTHEW 19:3-6)

PRIEST: The Lord be with you.

ALL: And with your spirit.

PRIEST: A reading from the Holy Gospel according to St Matthew.

ALL: Glory to You, O Lord.

PRIEST: Some Pharisees approached him, and tested him, saying, “Is it lawful for
a man to divorce his wife for any cause whatsoever?” He said in reply,
“Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator made them
male and female, for this reason a man shall leave his father and mother
and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh? So they
are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined
together, no human being must separate.”

The Gospel of the Lord.

ALL: Praise to You, Lord Jesus Christ.

COMMENTATOR: Please all be seated and let us listen to the Homily.

CONFIRMATION OF THE MARRIAGE BOND

PRIEST: AND I, BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CHURCH, CALLING ON
ALL THOSE PRESENT HERE AS WITNESSES, CONFIRM AND BLESS
THE BOND OF MARRIAGE WHICH YOU HAVE CONTRACTED. IN
THE NAME OF THE (+) FATHER, AND OF THE SON, AND OF THE
HOLY SPIRIT.
ALL: Amen.

BLESSING OF THE ARRHAE AND RINGS

COMMENTATOR: May we ask the Arrhae and Ring Bearers, to be assisted by the
Best Man and Maid of Honor, to bring the symbols before the Priest.

PRIEST: REYMOND and JUNNA LANE, we shall now bless your rings and arrhae.
Our help is in the name of the Lord.

ALL: Who Made Heaven And Earth.

PRIEST: Bless (+) O Lord these rings so that your servants, REYMOND and JUNNA
LANE, who wear them, may ever live in mutual love and in unbroken loyalty.
Through Christ our Lord.

ALL: Amen.

7 | EDU & OLARIO NUPTIAL

PRIEST: Let us pray:
Bless (+) O Lord, your servants, REYMOND and JUNNA LANE, with
sufficiency of material possessions which these arrhae symbolize, so that they
may use them to attain eternal life. Through Christ our Lord.
ALL: Amen.

GIVING OF THE WEDDING RINGS

PRIEST: The wedding ring is the outward and visible sign of a spiritual bond
which unites two loyal hearts. It is a seal of the vows which you,
REYMOND and JUNNA LANE, give these rings to one another.

REYMOND: JUNNA LANE, wear this ring as a sign of my love and loyalty.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

JUNNA LANE: REYMOND, wear this ring as a sign of my love and loyalty.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

GIVING OF THE ARRHAE

REYMOND: I give you this arrhae, as a pledge of my dedication to your welfare.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

JUNNA LANE: And I accept them.

BLESSING AND PRESENTATION OF THE BIBLE

PRIEST: Bless (+) O Lord this Holy Bible, that your servants, REYMOND and
JUNNA LANE, who read it may find guidance, strength, wisdom and
God’s assurance of steadfast love in Jesus Christ. Bless the home and
family of REYMOND AND JUNNA LANE. We ask this through Christ
our Lord.

ALL: Amen.

8 | EDU & OLARIO NUPTIAL

PRIEST: REYMOND and JUNNA LANE, accept this Holy Bible, the Living Word
of God. May His words be the source of your living giving together for life.

REYMOND and JUNNA LANE: We accept God’s Word with humility and
fervent prayer that God reins in our married life, in the family we will raise
and in the home we will build together.

PRESENTATION OF THE NEWLY WED COUPLE TO THE

ASSEMBLED COMMUNITY

PRIEST:My dear brothers and sisters gathered in this assembly, it is my great

honor to present to you REYMOND and JUNNA LANE, as a new
married couple in our community. Let us give them a warm applause.
COMMENTATOR: May I request the Parents and Principal Sponsors to return to
their respective seats.

VEIL AND CORD CEREMONIES

COMMENTATOR: May I request REYMOND and JUNNA LANE, to please kneel

down. The Secondary Sponsors will now put the Veil and Cord as symbols of God’s
presence over the Covenant they entered into and their shared responsibility in
married life oneness in flesh.
We ask the Veil Sponsors to offer and lay the symbol of purity. The veil symbolizes
the authority of Christ. The veil is placed over the head of the bride and over the
shoulder of the bridegroom. With the help of our Lord, REYMOND will love and
serve his wife, as Christ loves the Church. JUNNA LANE will open herself to her
love and allow REYMOND to serve her in his way.
We ask the Cord Sponsors, to offer and lay the symbol of unity. The cord also called
the “jugal” [pronounced joo·gl] from the Latin word “jugum” [pronounced
yu·gum] which means yoke. A yoke signifies two things: something to be carried
and something that unites those who carry it. The cord symbolizes the “Yoke of
Matrimony” – the bonds of commitment of REYMOND and JUNNA LANE.
Have for each other as God has joined them together.
Please all stand for the Intercessory Prayers.

with eternal happiness together (with their children) all those who love
them. We ask this through Christ, our Lord.

ALL: Amen.

COMMENTATOR: Please remain standing for the Nuptial Blessing.

THE NUPTIAL BLESSING

PRIEST: Let us pray to the Lord for these Bride and Groom, who come to the
altar as they begin their married life, that (partaking of the Body and
Blood of Christ) they may always be bound together by love for one
another.
Holy Father, who formed man in your image, male and female you
created them, so that as husband and wife, united in body and heart,
they might fulfill their calling in the world.
Oh God, who, to reveal the great design you formed in your love, willed
that the love of spouses for each other should foreshadow the covenant
you graciously made with your people, so that, by fulfillment of the
sacramental sign, the mystical marriage of Christ with his Church might
become manifest in the union of husband and wife among your faithful;
Graciously stretch out your right hand over these your servants,
REYMOND and JUNNA LANE, we pray, and pour into their hearts the
power of the Holy Spirit.
Grant, O Lord, that, as they enter upon this sacramental union, they
may share with one another the gifts of your love and, by being for each
other a sign of your presence, become one heart and one mind.
May they also attain, O Lord, by their deeds the home they are forming
(and prepare their children to become members of your heavenly
household by raising them in the way of the Gospel.)

11 | EDU & OLARIO NUPTIAL

Graciously crown with your blessings your daughter JUNNA LANE so
that, by being a good wife (and mother), she may bring warmth to her
home with a love that is pure and adorn it with welcoming graciousness.
Bestow a heavenly blessing also, O Lord, on REYMOND, your servant,
that he may be a worthy, a good and faithful husband (and a provident
father).
Grant, holy Father, that, desiring to approach your table as a couple
joined in Marriage in your presence, they may one day have the joy of
taking part in your great banquet in heaven. Through Christ our Lord.

ALL: Amen.

COMMENTATOR: Please be seated for the Liturgy of the Eucharist. May I request
the Secondary Sponsors to please remove the Cord and Veil. At this moment,
together with REYMOND and JUNNA LANE we will offer our gifts to the
Lord as thanksgiving for all our blessings especially at this moment that the
Lord has made for them. The Eucharistic Gifts will be brought in procession
to the Altar.

LITURGY OF THE EUCHARIST

PRIEST: Blessed are you Lord, God of all creation for through your goodness we
have received the bread we offer you: fruit of the earth and work of
human hands, it will become for us the bread of life.

ALL: Blessed be God for ever.

PRIEST: Blessed are you, Lord God of all creation for through your goodness we
have received the wine we offer you: fruit of the vine and work of human
hands it will become our spiritual drink.

ALL: Blessed be God for ever.

COMMENTATOR: All please stand.

PRIEST: Pray brethren (brothers and sisters), that my sacrifice and yours may be
acceptable to God, the almighty Father.

12 | EDU & OLARIO NUPTIAL

ALL: May the Lord accept the sacrifice at your hands for the praise and glory of
his name, for our good and the good of all his holy Church.

PRAYER OVER THE OFFERINGS

PRIEST: Receive in your kindness, Lord, the offerings we bring in gladness before
you, and in your fatherly love watch over those you have joined in a
sacramental covenant. Through Christ our Lord.

ALL: Amen.

PREFACE: EUCHARISTIC PRAYER II

PRIEST: The Lord be with you.

ALL: And with your spirit.

PRIEST: Lift up your hearts.

ALL: We lift them up to the Lord.

PRIEST: Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.

ALL: It is right and just.

PRIEST: It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation, always and
everywhere to give you thanks, Lord, Holy Father, almighty and eternal
God, through Christ our Lord.

For in him you have made a new covenant with your people, so that, as
you have redeemed man and woman by the mystery of Christ’s Death
and Resurrection, so in Christ you might make them partakers of divine
nature and joint heirs with him of heavenly glory.

In the union of husband and wife you give a sign of Christ’s loving gift
of grace, so that the Sacrament we celebrate might draw us back more
deeply into the wondrous design of your love and so, with the Angels and
all the Saints, we praise you, and without end we acclaim:

13 | EDU & OLARIO NUPTIAL

Sanctus (to be sung)

COMMENTATOR: Please all kneel.

CONSECRATION

PRIEST: You are indeed Holy, O Lord, the fount of all holiness. Make holy,
therefore, these gifts, we pray, by sending down your Spirit upon them
like the dewfall, so that they may become for us the Body and (+) Blood
of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

At the time he was betrayed and entered willingly into his Passion,
He took the bread and, giving thanks, broke it, and gave it to his
disciples, saying:

TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT, FOR THIS IS MY

BODY, WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU.

In a similar way, when supper was ended, He took the chalice and, once
more giving thanks, he gave it to his disciples, saying:

TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM IT, FOR THIS IS
THE CHALICE OF MY BLOOD, THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND
ETERNAL COVENANT, WHICH WILL BE POURED OUT FOR
YOU AND FOR MANY FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS.
DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.

The mystery of Faith.

Memorial Acclamation (to be sung)

PRIEST: Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his Death and Resurrection,

we offer you, Lord the Bread of life and the Chalice of salvation, giving
thanks that you have held us worthy to be in your presence and minister
to you.

Humbly we pray that, partaking of the Body and Blood of Christ, we

may be gathered into one by the Holy Spirit.

14 | EDU & OLARIO NUPTIAL

Remember, Lord, your Church, spread throughout the world, and bring
her to the fullness of charity, together with FRÁNCÏS our Pope and
JOSÉ our Bishop and all the clergy.

Be mindful also Lord, of REYMOND and JUNNA LANE, whom you

have brought to their wedding day, so that by your grace they may abide
in mutual love and in peace.

Remember also our brothers, and sisters, who have fallen asleep in the
hope of the resurrection, and all who have died in your Mercy: welcome
them into the light of your face.

Have mercy on us all, we pray, that with the Blessed Virgin Mary,
Mother of God, and St. Joseph her spouse, with the blessed Apostles,
and all the Saints who have pleased you throughout the ages, we may
merit to be coheirs to eternal life, and may praise and glorify you.
Through Your Son, Jesus Christ.

THROUGH HIM, AND WITH HIM, AND IN HIM, O GOD,

ALMIGHTY FATHER, IN THE UNITY OF THE HOLY SPIRIT,
ALL GLORY AND HONOR IS YOURS, FOR EVER AND EVER.

Great Amen (to be sung)

ALL: For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

15 | EDU & OLARIO NUPTIAL

ALL: Amen.

PRIEST: REYMOND and JUNNA LANE, now that you have received the Holy
Sacrament of Matrimony, I admonish you to remain faithful to one

16 | EDU & OLARIO NUPTIAL
